Dusty926
[insert Title Here] I'm just abit curious. I know these type of mods are not possible right now. *Evidence by the fact that there is no mods that do that.* But do you think after 0.17 planet and moon mods will be possible? cardgame
I don't think it will be possible in .17, but I am definitely optimistic for the possibility (perhaps along with some form of modding API) in the future.
Stoup
Yeah, with how heavily focused KSP is on mods and allowing mod tools I'd be shocked if there WASN'T eventually some way to mod in custom planets.I don't think that we'll see this anywhere in the near future, however. KAO
why not?We can already make parts, and all that is is providing a model, and then filling out a set of parameters for said model and you got yourself a partplanets shouldn't be that much different, just provide the size, and a bumpmap and then fill out some parameters, such as gravity atmosphere, distance from kerbol, apoapsis+periapsis, etc..if an API for parts came out relatively quickly in the scope of KSP's development, I envision that an API that would create planetary bodies or moons should be in the works very soon. trbinsc
I remember the devs saying that exposing PQS to be able to add modded content would reveal the source code, but they want to add some sort of planet tools in the future.
