How to downgrade KSP?!

Ok, this is a bit of a tricky one. I want to downgrade to KSP 1.2.2 so I can use RSS/RO mods, but I want to keep my KSP 1.7.3 edition. KSP is on steam, so I know about the betas tab. I just don't want to lose everything that I have done (even the only thing I have done is launched a Minmus space station). Plz help!

Copy your curent version elsewhere so it stays there for you to play, then use the betas to change your version. 

Or, if you want to keep the newest on steam, do the same but copy the 1.2 as well and then return to the 1.7.3

Ahh, thank you! I cannot wait to see how well my PC handles it (I'm hoping for at least 10 fps lol)
