Is it possible to convert launched ships into files?

So, for some odd reason all my ships went missing in one of my saves. I had a backup of the game so i managed to save some of the ships but unfortunately my most recent creation was not included on this backup. It was a very complicated build.

However, before the wipe happend i launched the ship. My question is, can you make a ship file from a ship that is already launched?

Is this still working?

If not and you are on steam you can revert your game version to the mods version and figure things out from there....or i dont know, like 1.7 version.

Always backup everything just in case you delete something, especially before wipes or big changes.

And remember to disable steam cloud saving, that might be the odd reason your ships went missing(although i doubt it)
