Update Anxiety

I'll be sad when the new release comes out.

Because its bound to trash all our precious hard work in geting a 75 ton munbase craft landed on the mun in one piece instead of the 47 pieces it usually lands in, that is if you can

get the damned thing off the ground in the first place without getting a score card of 9.9, 9.9, 9.8, 9.9, 9.9, 9.7 and 9.9 from the crowd of kerbals rating the explosion.

Boris

So many launches... so little success..

I feel a bit like this too.

I don't have any real big bases, but I modded the hell out of 0.16 and it took quite a lot of time to get it all to work right.

But I really want those planets.

I've stopped doing missions of real significance as I expect I'll have to wipe my persistence file soon.

I have been focussing on designing craft that are space worthy - not actually flying them. The designs/mods will persist across versions (accounting for rebalancing of parts) so that's what I'm focusing on.

The anticipation for .17 is getting to me a little bit. I have some pretty lofty new goals to aim for, but I can't try for any of them yet. Ah well. I can still practice orbital stuff with the Mun and have a good time doing it.

You, always can train yourself to flight manually with greater accuracy, also you can spend own time for learn some basics about orbital mechanics, so you improving yourself and could find out how to get to other planets without shooting blind (getting to other planets will be much harder, but greater challenge) :).

Exactly what I've been doing. Mainly I've been perfecting my rendezvous skills since that's going to critical for an interplanetary mission. Plus I've been trying to complete them using math instead of charts the only issue is getting the right angle.

I did some of the math here; it's a little messy, but! http://www.reddit.com/r/KerbalSpaceProgram/comments/zkmkk/a_little_diagram_i_drew_to_help_people_get_to_the/c65wtuz

Also, I use an on-screen protractor tool that comes with the free program PicPick: http://www.picpick.org

Practice your Munar gravity-assists! Not that difficult, but it'll be a helpful thing to know when trying to escape to other planets.

Most of us want 0.17, but lets face it when 0.17 comes out we will want 0.18..

Or is it just me..

Well i did my training for interplanetary travel..

1st wave probes are developed.. their mission to give feedback on planetary data.. Dune,Eve, then the big green one..

Managed to do some excel sheet that helps me with the Math like..

Gravity of body.. Radius, Mass, SOI, Orbital speed, Boundary and posibly Optimal Breaking path...

I'm most excited about finding out all i can from the planet.. and later after iv done all i possibly could.. Compare stats to the Wiki.. Se how well i did and then go to another planet...

Yes other features are great to, especially flying in IVA only.. But the Exploration and Math is the highlight for me.. Edited by Atimed

I agree, when 0.17 is out we will wait for 0.18 , the thing is that 0.17 will have so much to do that the waiting will be a little more easy, I mean when 0.18 is out i probably havent finish "exploring" all the kerbol system

-That's relay a pessimistic opinion..

-We will have landings on all planets/moons in the 24 hours the update is released..

- Even now a large amount of player have pre-built inter-planetary crafts..

- Even players that join after the 1st week should be able to visit other planets in the 2-3 months development period..

I doubt every player will have landed on all the planets and moons within 24 hours of 0.17 coming out..

I stated that some players will land in the 1st 24 hrs.. Not that all players will land...

Its safe to assume that most of us will visit one, if not more of the new planets.. ie, achieve stable orbit around the planet..

I strongly disagree. A lot if us have lives, including me. Unfortunately.

Edit: phrase your sentences better to avoid misunderstandings
