Bomber's clusterbombs not working

Recommended Posts

I am having a problem with my bomber plane. The bomber has 3 cluster bombs and all of them lose the ability to detonate after detaching from the bomber itself. They still can be detonated when still atached to the bomber. The bombs work by having many decouplers atached to eachother. The I am rather new to this game would like some help. What do i need to do in order to detonate the bombs in the air?

Unless there is a probecore on it, the bombs will not be able to be controlled, which means you will need to switch to it and detonate it manually.

If there’s no probe core, it can’t be controlled at all. If you do have a probe core, then you can switch to it and detonate it manually.

If you’re running on PC and aren’t averse to using mods, both MechJeb and KOS allow automation, but for this purpose I’d look at SmartParts. I apologize, but I can’t look up whether they’re updated to the current version until later today.

Smart Parts Continued is updated for 1.8.1.

Guys,

did you know that a K.A.L. still continue running its program even after decoupling it and without a probecore?

Use one, let K.A.L. do the decoupling of the bomb and a few later the explosion.

(Add a battery to each bomb so EC is present after decoupling)
