contract / enter atmosphere / not completed

I've splashed in the eve ocean, but the contract condition "enter the atmo" is not complete.
I can't explain this behavior, as obviously I've entered the atmosphere...

Is that a custom contract? The wording sounds non-stock but I'm not sure of that.

it isn't custom, it's stock.

Hmm, then did you do anything abnormal like hyperedit to the surface? Or even something normal like switch vessels or go back to mission control?

Contracts can be buggy. I'd personally just use alt-f12 to complete it.

I've only built a relay satellite and launched it on a polar orbit, altitude 8M km, before to launch the splasher.
maybe i'll try it again tomorrow.

Something like that would also be my guess. For some reason the the game failed to notify the "check contracts" part of the code of the fact that you've changed from being outside of Eve's atmosphere to inside the atmosphere. Though I want to throw "did this at too high time warp" into the mix.

I did several tests and I realized that the only way to let the "enter atmosphere" contract condition to be satisfied is that I have to orbit eve before enter its atmosphere.
I did many tries entering atmo directly from the interplanetary space and it never worked but as soon as I maneuvered in order to orbit eve and then I did the re-entry, the green contract flag has appeared.

it's exactly like the "crash course for PLANET" contracts, you have to orbit the planet before to burn into a crash orbit.

O.K. You (or I in this case) never stop learning...

That's IMHO a bit stupid but it is something that I can well imaging that KSP is doing.

I'd even consider that to be bug-report-worthy.
