Mohole or Dres Canyon? Where should I go first?

I am really curious to see where would you prefer to go first? Thanks for any feedback as well if you have any. Oh, these will be crewed missions!

Both need absurd amounts of delta-v, but Dres is easier to land on and the Dres canyon is safer than the Moho sinkhole. I'd say do the canyon first and then tackle the mohole.

Fun! Dres' canyon, "The Scar" I call it, is one of my fave places to visit. And according to YT, the latest rendition of it is quite a sight to behold. The Mohole, while interesting to drop things into, isn't much to see. It is a hole.

Kerbal sacrifice to the Kraken by throwing one down the Hole? 

Personally not my thing, unless I'm truly desperate in the future. But, y'know, some folks play to torture their characters. And that's okay until it gets into real life.

What's the fun if you don't get to add more boosters?

But a lot of people visit the Dres Canyon and even I visited it already. Heck, even @Matt Lowne went there in 1.9. No one has been to the Mohole recently.

Isn't the kraken a problem in the mohole only if you have a large structure or is it always a problem?

Oh and it's also important to note that I will head to both but I am curious what should be first stop. Dres Canyon seems to be reasonable but I mean, Mohole sounds fun.

I literally got this game on New Year's Eve. I have managed exactly one crashlanded probe on Moho in a previous dead save. I do know that it's a big narrow hole that would be nigh impossible to rescue a Kerbal from.

And, y'know, sacrifice basically means annihilation for the sacrificed object or being.

I play lots of Space Engineers. That game had Lord Clang and many players make sacrifices to him. So, uh, this technically isn't my idea originally.

Both in one mission? That seems like a great idea. Now to calculate Dv . Oh and while we're a it we will head to a mun arch as well.

NO, THIS IS PATRICK! And I am not a KSP.

 

All memes aside, I think it makes more sense to fly to Dres Canyon first. It's closer to the equator than the Mohole, so landing and taking off (and leaving the SOI) will use up less fuel than a polar landing. You can also drive through it the canyon, and it has an entrance/exit rather than just one way in OR out. 

• With the Mohole, you'll also be taking up fuel going up and down.
