yeah tbh, i don't know how large it should be in the field of view of a video game, and i don't really sweat it. but here's how it looks for me in default FOV

hmm alright well thanks for replying on that point anyway, for my titan problem , i wonder if adjusting the eve settings would fix some problems, but i have no idea how to navigate the menus u can bring up on the toolbar, or what the values mean at all so it doesnt seem like something i can do in a sort of intuitive guesswork way, does anyone here have any advice?

Is it normal or bug?

I installed from here: https://gitlab.com/ksrss/KSRSS (is it recent version?)

From that Gitlab page, you'll need to select either the Reborn branch or the EarthHomeWorld (?) branch. Not selecting a branch gets you the old version which doesn't work. For the Reborn branch, install just the KSRSS folder - not the additional 64k textures (they don't work with Reborn).

Thanks, I will try now. I saw GameData branch as default and installed that.

I installed both Reborn and EarthHomeWorld branches. Reborn branch has same textures around KSC like before. EarthHomeWorld branch is also same but with missing clouds and KSC being partially underground:

Texture problem is fixed after I copied files from the KSRSS-64k folder. (Using Reborn branch)

GameData branch is newer than Reborn, and copying files from KSRSS-64k works too. EarthHomeWorld is newest but has two other problems. I am thinking GameData branch is the one to use and is also set as default in Gitlab?

EDIT:

I have EVE Redux installed without stock planet configs but I have no clouds. Any solution?

OK you lost me on copying stuff around. I don't recommend any of that :)

Just install KSRSS Reborn + Eve + Scatterer and nothing else and you'll have a working KSRSS install. Here's what a minimal install looks like:

I'm having some issues with Venus's atmosphere, there is some strange black spot that shows up when looking at the atmosphere from the side. I'm using KSRSS Reborn with only its base dependencies and EVE and Scatterer. My KSP version is 1.12.5, and I'm using KSRSS Reborn. The issue still persists when Scatterer is uninstalled. The dependencies for KSRSS and the visual mods were installed using CKAN. Is it a problem with my install or is it something else? Any information about possible fixes or workarounds would be appreciated.

So just installed this baby. I dont get any auroras. I had a problem with the city lights too but i was looking at my gamedata and realised that boulderco was not needed, deleted that and the city lights problem is over.

Now a few things about this 2,5x solar system. What are the planet's atmosphere height limits?

stock tracking station functionality: focus a planet/moon and there's a ringed planet icon on the toolbar that shows planetary stats

re: visuals - correct about BoulderCo, as Reborn requires no external configs for scatterer/eve, so no others either.

so im back again with questions. I cant find much stuff for ksrss reborn for info. I was surprised to see that getting to orbit is a lot harder than i thought. The inclination being one more thing to worry about ...or not. How do we play this...i know that iss is at 51,6. Do you guys bother to go at the equator or do you simply stick to the 28 degrees? Or go to 51,6 ? Anyone made a base pack for reborn like the french launch site or baikonur ? I got myself into a lot more trouble than i expected by choosing ksrss. Now everything is just a little bit more complicated. Has anyone made tutorials about ksrss? Is there a difference between ksrss and ksrss reborn? I think i read somewhere that reborn is at 2,7x.

You'll notice in the Cape mod there are downloads for Modern or Historical launch pads when paired with MLP.

Personally, I launch NASA stuff from both US coasts, then Soyuz/Proton from Baikonur, and for ESA/JAXA I made custom launch sites in the right-ish locations at Kourou and on an island just off the coast of Japan for JAXA launches. When Russia is involved, I use 52 degrees, otherwise 32 for the others, or natural inclination from FL for solo missions. I use Vandy for high inclination launches.

If you get more annoyed than entertained by dealing with the inclination situation, JNSQ is another option that's at this same scale, but uses stock planets + several additional planets. I use both KSRSS and JNSQ in different installs. I have a modern KSRSS install, a historical KSRSS install, and a more sci-fi JNSQ install.

Edit: got it, found a calculator online and its around 8948km.

I'm not sure if this is stock or not, but in my VAB if I right click on a relay antenna and pick Show Relay Info, the resulting dialog displays geostationary altitude along with other stuff. if you don't see it I'm not sure what does it - I don't have any antenna-specific mods.
