Not selecting a branch gets you the old version which doesn't work. For the Reborn branch, install just the KSRSS folder - not the additional 64k textures (they don't work with Reborn). CanOmer
I installed both Reborn and EarthHomeWorld branches. Reborn branch has same textures around KSC like before. EarthHomeWorld branch is also same but with missing clouds and KSC being partially underground: Reveal hidden contents Texture problem is fixed after I copied files from the KSRSS-64k folder. dOnut14
I'm having some issues with Venus's atmosphere, there is some strange black spot that shows up when looking at the atmosphere from the side. I'm using KSRSS Reborn with only its base dependencies and EVE and Scatterer. My KSP version is 1.12.5, and I'm using KSRSS Reborn. The issue still persists when Scatterer is uninstalled. The dependencies for KSRSS and the visual mods were installed using CKAN. Is it a problem with my install or is it something else? Any information about possible fixes or workarounds would be appreciated. Bebis83
So just installed this baby. I dont get any auroras. I had a problem with the city lights too but i was looking at my gamedata and realised that boulderco was not needed, deleted that and the city lights problem is over. Now a few things about this 2,5x solar system. What are the planet's atmosphere height limits? Edited January 28 by Bebis83

Expand stock tracking station functionality: focus a planet/moon and there's a ringed planet icon on the toolbar that shows planetary stats re: visuals - correct about BoulderCo, as Reborn requires no external configs for scatterer/eve, so no others either. Bebis83
so im back again with questions. I cant find much stuff for ksrss reborn for info. I was surprised to see that getting to orbit is a lot harder than i thought. The inclination being one more thing to worry about ...or not. How do we play this...i know that iss is at 51,6. Do you guys bother to go at the equator or do you simply stick to the 28 degrees? Or go to 51,6 ? Anyone made a base pack for reborn like the french launch site or baikonur ? I got myself into a lot more trouble than i expected by choosing ksrss. Now everything is just a little bit more complicated. Has anyone made tutorials about ksrss? Is there a difference between ksrss and ksrss reborn? I think i read somewhere that reborn is at 2,7x.

Expand https://github.com/kochiBR/katniss-baikonour-for-KSRSS You'll notice in the Cape mod there are downloads for Modern or Historical launch pads when paired with MLP. Personally, I launch NASA stuff from both US coasts, then Soyuz/Proton from Baikonur, and for ESA/JAXA I made custom launch sites in the right-ish locations at Kourou and on an island just off the coast of Japan for JAXA launches. When Russia is involved, I use 52 degrees, otherwise 32 for the others, or natural inclination from FL for solo missions. I use Vandy for high inclination launches. If you get more annoyed than entertained by dealing with the inclination situation, JNSQ is another option that's at this same scale, but uses stock planets + several additional planets. I use both KSRSS and JNSQ in different installs. I have a modern KSRSS install, a historical KSRSS install, and a more sci-fi JNSQ install. Bebis83
So um is there a wiki for ksrss? i mean i wanna avoid having to do physics and math to figure out the geostationary orbit of the earth fore example. Edit: got it, found a calculator online and its around 8948km. Edited February 3 by Bebis83

Expand I'm not sure if this is stock or not, but in my VAB if I right click on a relay antenna and pick Show Relay Info, the resulting dialog displays geostationary altitude along with other stuff. if you don't see it I'm not sure what does it - I don't have any antenna-specific mods. defoma
Has this mod been continued somewhere else? Also, are there any fixes for KSRSS and Scatterer 0.8.x conflicts? I know I can downgrade to 0.7.2.2, however that version of Scatterer doesn't work with volumetric clouds.

Expand go here: https://gitlab.com/ksrss/KSRSS/-/tree/reborn?ref_type=heads and make sure you see the term "reborn" in the branch selector. This branch brings KSRSS up to modern scatterer/eve and/or volumetrics. It has to be installed manually, and you should not include anything except the KSRSS folder (i.e. none of the 64k stuff, it won't work). There are also other branches there, but if you don't know which one you're looking for then Reborn is a good choice. I do have the 64k stuff, should I get rid of it, then? And, the Scatterer I'm using is the Scatterer that comes with blackrack's Volumetric Clouds mod. I'm not using free EVE. I should note that the only issues I'm having are the atmosphere sometimes goes red or shiny on the dark side of the planet, and Mars (the only other planet that I've visited that has issues) sometimes has a grey atmosphere.
