STS-5 looks good too, but as the first in a multipart mission I will refrain from issuing a badge at this time. Keep it up! Thanks! I think I am doubletracking a bit. Made whole different shuttle with insane balanse... since it technically have the same amount fuel and weight on both ends of cargo bay. OutInSpace
STS-3 complete, stock Commander, after no small amount of headaches around working out an MMU assembly workflow. I had a lot of fun designing the scope, though! I even slapped on some retractable ion drives for kicks. Preview shots: Spoiler
Yakez
some station porn xD Spoiler https://imgur.com/a/kaOpx9o - STS-6 https://imgur.com/a/IJTIS7h - STS 7-8 As before full stock STS and station commander entries. Now I know that one can use vanilla flags as stickers. Love that current KSP addition. Since I am in Soviet mood named my two shuttles after Soviet sweets: Barbaris candy and Montpensier candy. Станция Рокот (Thunder Station in English) is sitting at 309 km orbit. Core module feature Science lab with Hitchhiker container and docking adaptor that can be accessed by up to 3 shuttles. Launched second is Habitation module with two Hitchhiker containers, solar array and communication antenna that was birthed to one of two sockets on top. Third addition was Service module featuring additional solar array and radiators coupled with Communication module, that first served as spacer to clear solar panels and later was repositioned at the bottom of Habitation module. And the last launched brought second Science module with single lab to distance Service module from main solar array and additional communication array to install on Communication module. sturmhauke
Sorry for the delay everyone. Let's get to the badges. Only reason I ditched the MMUs was because I find a huge debris cloud around Kerbin perversely funny ;p In the meantime I've also completed STS 4-4R, plus STS-5, 6, 7 and 8 - which means that, pending your approval, I've completed the main Kerbin series! Now I just have to kidnap an asteroid... fortunately I found an A-class on a sweet ~5000km parabolic Kerbin intercept, so at least that part will be easy. Preview shot for STS 5-8 (4-4R wasn't visually noteworthy): Spoiler

You've been busy. Let's take a look here... STS-4/4R: Hmm, lack of fuel is a bit of a problem. We'll have to do an investigation on the ground crew to see what happened there. Good work on the rescue though! STS-5-8: I'm a big fan of Nertea's mods, I use them for basically everything. The station looks good, Commander! sturmhauke
Hi everyone, I've been busy with the Day of the Turkey, but the fowl beast has now been rendered into delicious soup and sandwiches. Let's have a look at some space birds, shall we? On 11/19/2020 at 9:06 AM, KingDominoIII said: I took a break from the Mun missions and went to Eve. Mission report: https://imgur.com/gallery/peQFohI Looks good overall, and I like the robotic arm. However, while the probe entered Eve atmo below 60km, your orbiter did not aerocapture at either planet. This qualifies you for the Pilot badge; if you would like the Commander badge, please demonstrate that your orbiter can perform aerocapture at both Eve and Kerbin. If you chase and overtake the sunset, is it a sunrise or have you reversed the flow of time? I can't say I'm a huge fan of using time warp to phase a part through the orbiter, or having the potato clip through a closed bay door. I'll allow it for now, but I'll have to think about if there should be a rule change for future missions. Still, nice work! OutInSpace
Okay, so, it turns out that building a modular Munar base at 65 degrees N is quite difficult. Fortunately, throwing down an all-in-one base at the equator is simpler, and as such I've completed MUN STS-1! Preview shots: Spoiler Bob plants a flag just outside the base. Performing an aerobrake that would give NASA nightmares.

He may or may not have spent 35 years in that crew cabin while I did an experimental run of the Cassini-Huygens test pilot mission... But it's okay, he's home now, and I'm told that the KSC has hired a battalion of world-class therapists just for him. Also, lots of happy pills. Fulgora
Question regarding mods: Does kOS still qualify as stock extension? I am thinking about continuing my STS series... Also can I update my badges from the old thread? Here is my STS4 / 4R entry - did all STS1-4R with the same craft / "mods": Last but not least: STS4 and 4R included the first two station modules - may I continue building that station or do I need to start over? I will continue in KSP 1.10.1 of course - either update the savefile or if that doesnt work edit the station into the same orbit as it was left in STS 4R. sturmhauke
Welcome to the v6 thread! On 12/13/2020 at 2:13 PM, Fulgora said: Question regarding mods: Does kOS still qualify as stock extension? I am thinking about continuing my STS series... kOS is fine for stock, assuming you can remove it and fly the shuttle manually with no problems. If kOS is required for avoidance of rapid unplanned disassembly or other mission failure states, that's a problem. Quote Also can I update my badges from the old thread? Yes, feel free to use the updated badges. Quote Last but not least: STS4 and 4R included the first two station modules - may I continue building that station or do I need to start over? You can start from where you left off. If your earlier modules don't load properly, you can make equivalents and edit them into position.
Fulgora
Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. kOS is not required to launch my Shuttles, it just makes it easier and allows me to capture nice footage during launch (craft files are always provided on KerbalX as well). I tested the savefile and its still good but i think the kOS script as well as the craft need some love. 8 major releases since the design have taken a toll on the performance the shuttle as well as the script
