Most stable realism mod

I started to play with Kerbalism and love how hard it makes the game. However, KSP seems to be crashing enough to kind of dampen the fun. It is a shame, because I love what the mod does to the game and want to keep on going.

If I want to play a career campaign at a higher level of detail/challenge, would RO/RSS, USI-MKS or Stock+TAC Life support be more stable? I guess, I should make saves more often as I learned to trust stock KSP for its stability a lot.

A big part of the challenge of playing modded KSP is keeping the mods to the bare minimum. There are so many incredible mods available that it is easy to want to add them all. However, various mods may not work well with each other, or just cause the game to slow down or become unstable with so many. 

Essentially, it becomes: What can you live without?

If the game is unstable with only Kerbalism installed, describe your problem on the mod's thread or create a github issue. It may be that it ends up being a limitation of your system/hardware, but maybe it is a problem with the mod.

The other possibility is that Kerbalism so real that it is simulating random cosmic rays frying your electronics, crashing your computer.
