[Request] JetCat P300 Rx Enginge Part - Turbo Rocket

Recommended Posts

Hello, I would like to ask someone to make this engine so that I can test a project that I am working on to make a vehicle that arrives (initially) at 3000 meters altitude and uses this engine. [Translate by google translate from pt-BR]

How sophisticated a mod do we need this to be? Does it need accurate models or just rough shape and performance? It looks like you have RealFuels and SolverEngines. Can I see what the CFG file of a functional engine looks like in your modpack?

It looks like you're trying to use this for simulating a real aircraft design. I've modeled Jetcat engines before in KSC but it was a much less exact science. Just resizing Junos and intakes and adjusting their performance until it fit reality.

First, thank you very much for responding. Second, I'm sorry for the delay in responding and for my English generated by the google translator. So..

As realistic as possible, I want to use the game as a simulator of the real project. But I'm still looking at how I'm going to do that.

I really don't know how to answer that, but as far as I can think I need the engine to have the same dimensions, mass, fuel consumption and thrust as the original.

I had used CKAN (mod manager) to build the modpack, I didn't like the result... Slow game play, giant loading screens, mods not working properly.

I followed this tutorial on YT, it installs the following mods:

Then I added the following mods:

Now the game is realistic, beautiful and running smooth.

I didn't change any .cfg, they are all in the version of the last realease (ref date: 24/jun/2020) from github and compatible with KSP 1.8.1.

Yes, it is a real aircraft design:

@Arthur Marcolino I took your request as a challenge and modeled that engine for myself. Most of its stats don't mean anything to me as far as my knowledge and play style of KSP go. (Note that I don't use RO, AJE and the various realism mods.) The stats I did manage to capture or otherwise apply, much of which through guess work are:

  • 130kg mass
  • Size: 0.3125m diameter "Mk0"
  • Cruising speed of Mach 0.49 at 3km altitude (the target mach number was 0.468)
  • 14 kN thrust and 2850s impulse so that it starts off at using 0.5 kg of LiquidFuel per second.
  • Includes a slow blade spin animation
  • Includes working heat emissive animation.

You'll have to find someone to re-calibrate the engine for you if you don't know how to do it yourself, but you have a shiny new dedicated engine for your enjoyment.

MY HEAVEN GOD, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL THING I DON'T BELIEVE <- that was my reaction kkkkkk

I'm sorry for the delay in responding, I forgot this post because I didn't believe anyone was going to do it. I was watching a Saturn V documentary now and I remembered. I also don't understand much of the numbers that I put there, I just copied it from the engine manufacturer's website. The numbers that matter to me are the diameter, height and power. In the images that I put there is a real model of the rocket. The real rocket is 2.5 meters long and uses a pet bottle as a fuel tank. So I just need a 300 N engine versus the 14 kN you did. But I am completely impressed with the model you made, it is identical to the original. I will try to learn how to modify the dimensions, power and fuel consumption. Can you refer me to a website or video to help me do this?

VERY VERY VERY THANK YOU!!
I do not know how to thank.
