Actually, if that was the case, it would say "sun escape". He's not quite reached solar escape velocity, he will, EVENTUALLY, return.

You may want to rethink that plan. Assuming your periapsis is around kerbins altitude, that orbit has a period of roughly 140 years kerbin time. That will take a while.. even on max time warp.

HA um when i now go to the flight the time warp is broken like it doesn't work or do anything i predict its because of the amount of information going on. So its now a real lofe time wait of 67 years!!!!!!!!!!!! My goal was to get to the maxium distance but ill be too old then LOL. I am sure there will be a solution.

Launch a second mission. Use its time warp to speed up the original mission's voyage.
