Ok then it's time with an unplanned greatly anticipated hotfix to the mod!

Version 0.1.2

Gameplay Changes
1. Added Evap.
Bugfixes:
1. Fixed a bug with Science Reports (i.e "in high orbit around a Evap" is now "in high orbit around Evap")

Presenting Zep's color map!

Design Notes: I was thinking Evap and Zep are two sides of the same coin, both were once large puffy icy moons with a large core of iron at the center. But for whatever reason, while Evap completly melted and gained a thick atmosphere, for whatever reason, Zep was never as far gone, only losing some of it's mass and having a comparatively thin atmosphere, still pretty thick compared to Duna, twice it's atmospheric pressure, but most of it's surface is still intact for whatever reason. In addition, it will have a small submoon, Zip, to add to the intrigue of Retuo's largest moon.

After days of work, I've finally arrived at a texture I'm willing to use as a height map.

It took a lot of experimentation to get right, but it's better than a blank grey scale version of the texture map above but with some basic noise, right?

Now, I need to do it's .cfg file now, I should have results soon.

That looks great! I usually just generate the heightmaps from the colormaps in GIMP. I'm curious, how do you make such a detailed heightmap?

I usually do that, but it was too bright!

Mess with the filters tab. It's interesting where it'll take you.

I've edited it's appearance it a bit, I'll have screenshots tomorrow afternoon!

Also, fun fact: Zep and EVAP look the same size from Bold, so you can see eclipses! Totally unplanned, but not unwelcome!

Hmmm.... by far, my favorite one is either the Mun or Romily. The Mun has that cool surface pattern. Romily, I like the idea, but I think it should look more like this: http://www.worldofgotha.com/PF_TUTORIAL/israh_index.html

It's a tutorial, the end product is what I think Romily should look like. It's a great tutorial, though!

 

I also like Doosem, because of the reddish color and the craters and hills. Evap is also great! One thing I would improve on though, if I were you, is improve the gas giants' textures. Otherwise though, it looks great!

Zep's appearance has been redone! I've gotten rid of the seam so all that's left is it's biome map and atmosphere.

Does anyone think that Zep needs a few craters? I think so but my household seems to disagree.

You should add one big crater.

Value = 1 For "normal" biomes such as Lowlands and Midlands.

Value = 1.05 For the Highlands due to the fact there are no special biomes and it's one of the least common.

Value = 1.1 for the poles.

Now, all that stands between 0.1.3 and Release is Zip, which will soon be conquered!

I'm especially happy with the height map, that's what happens when you use edge detection distorts (seriously though, the edge ditection tab is actually is a pretty good for making terrain with heightmaps), and will have a characteristic ridge at the surface due to tidal stresses with Retuo and Zep.

Today I've finished the Biome Map for Zip!

Value = 1 For the "normal" biomes, such as the Plains.

Value = 1.05 for the "Poles" biomes.

Value = 1.1 for the Ridge biome.

With this, 0.1.3 will be ready to release, I'll be releasing it sometime today.

Also: This mod might not be getting as regular updates as before, I am taking on another mod project, called New Heavens, don't worry, it will still be developed, but maybe not as quickly as before.
