Planet Flickering/Shadow eclipsing and Fuel transfering issues

Recommended Posts

First: Planet Flickering/Shadow eclipsed. I have tried everything I could think to try and get it to stop, looking through google, forums and what not. I have tried multitude of guides on fixing the issue. But nothing worked. Only mod I use atm is KER, current and up to date. Kerbin, along with all other planets, have either a shadow permanently casted over it, or the shadow flickers like a demonic strobe light.

Second: Fuel Transfer issue. Since 1.10.1, I have had a fuel transfer bug. Trying to transfer fuel from one tank in an SSTO into another, or a rocket in general, and the button sticks on STOP. Either it duplicates the fuel (without adding to the DV) or it doesnt transfer at all. Would appreciate any help possible to try and make it playable for me!!! Edit: I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling without KER, verify integrity, tweaking options under both KSP and in my NVIDIA panel, updating Drivers, windows ect.

I have a fresh install right now, no mods and only the DLC is installed.

Well, as it is technically a modded install, I'd normally move this over to Modded tech support.   But I highly doubt that it's KER causing this, so we'll leave it here for now.

If you got the game through Steam, verify the local file integrity, that will correct any corrupt files.

As for fuel transfer, I believe this is a known bug, but I am not familiar with the details on it.  There are other threads here that address it.

The shadow flickering is really bad, you can easily replicate it by just moving the camera a bit with an active vessel.

These are with zoomed out because they are more ''steady'' when you are close to zoom they flicker way too fast to screenshot.

As to Gergamels post, as of now, it is unmodded. I did fix the issue with the flickering/shadowing by uninstalling via steam, then deleting the remaining files from the SteamApps by deleting the KSP folder. No more flickering or shadows on planets. Now, as for more issues, I now have shadow blooms on the KSC, but I am not to picky with that XD

To Boysters post: It was not a surface issue for me. It was while in orbit around a planet I would have Massive flickering on the planet or a large black spot on a planet.

Do you have cloud saving enabled for Kerbal on Steam?

Sometimes that carries over some problems that verifying integrity of the game files cant overcome.
