Which one is easier to land on?

Recommended Posts

If you’re starting from Kerbin then Gilly is better- your solar panels are vastly more effective and the delta-V requirements are considerably lower to get there. Bop and Pol are both small and have inclined orbits around Jool so getting to either can be difficult and going from one to the other is even more difficult. They’re a bit bigger than Gilly, meaning their SOIs are a bit larger but their orbital velocities are also higher, there’s hardly any sunlight so solar panels work at a mere 4% of their nominal output (bring RTGs if you can) but Pol is a marginally easier target to get to.

Oh, and beware the Bop anomaly...

Gilly is easier to reach, there is no noticeable difference for getting from orbit to the surface.

Oh, and you don't "land" in those celestial bodies, you rather Dock with them.

What do you mean by docking graphing hooks?

Gilly's gravity well is so low that catching up with it is hard (requieres quite a bit of m/s), but once you are there you will find yourself wanting to burn downwards just to land, because it's sloooooooow. Also, time warp is disabled even in high orbits!

Don't be afraid to add monoprop to the craft, you can fly and land everywhere just with it.

Don't seem like a bad idea.

However I was alluding to what @Fierce Wolf just explained, you expend quite a bit of fuel to ensure that your path intercept the surface of the target body in the first place and than you worry about not smashing  hard into it or just bouncing off because a few m/s of velocity at final approach. And the gravity of the celestial body is barely noticeable (0,6m/sfor Bop) so you don't feel like falling either.
