Guest
maybe I can do SHORT (9min or under/100mb size) tutorials in compressed WebP (or WebM), not sure on using a webp like a "apng/Gif" as limited only be "end file size But they are small! look: 600x338, 7mb, 138 frames, 5 seconds = 0.0362sec/frame or 27.6 fps,, thats 10kb per frame on "mixed"! (I think 24 or 25 fps lossy would BE FINE & SMALLER! 16kb/frame at at 576p25 16:9, need to figure audio out...) YEP I CAN here is HOW TOO: Tiny Tutorial (spoiled), (WebM?) squshed WMV is 100% going to be smaller at quality with easy audio and google drive stream ability ..might be abit better? Spoiler How to make summarized GIF/WebP from a short video(MP4/Youtube) You can make a summarized GIF/WebP/MP4 from a short video or Youtube using the Video Summary feature of Honeycam. Copyright(C) PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS We'll show you how to summarize a short youtube game trailer into an animated GIF/WebP. The Video Summary feature can be also used for making highlights of sports, news, and company advertising videos. 1. Open a video file that you want to summarize. You can drop MP4 into Honeycam or choose Edit button in the start screen.(If the video's play time is longer than 5 minutes, loading time could take a while.) If you don't have MP4 file, you can record video or Youtube by Honeycam's recording screen feature. Check here to see how to record video/Youtube. 2. Once you open a file, the edit screen will appear. Just click Video Summary button. 3. Adjust options to summarsize video. Total frames and play time after summarization will be shown. You can make the result more compact by increasing Video Summary Value. We recommend that you set the value from 40 to 60. [Limit time per frame] option keep one frame from playing too long. We recommend that you set the value from 0.3 to 0.5 second. If you choose [Keep total play time] option, the total play time will be the same unless you enable [Limit time per frame] option. When you summarize a video, the result will have only important frames and their play time will be increased. If you choose [Scale down frame time] option, you can scale down the play time of each result frames. We recommend that you set this value from 0.1 to 0.5 and use with the option [Limit time per frame]. 4. Once it's done, cick OK button below and Click Save button in the Edit screen. The summarized GIF/WebP has been summarized into 148 frames and 37 seconds of play time from the original video of 160 seconds. The result of Video Summary: WebP 2.09MB, GIF 9.18MB BUT ITS NOT SEAMLESS @Aazard you fool...really?...: part 2 How to make seemless GIF/WebP/MP4 When an animated GIF/WebP is played, the animation cannot be seemless because the GIF/WebP has different images between the beginning and the end. Copyright(C) Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. Making an seemless GIF/WebP is not that different with Honeycam. Just add a revere animation at the end. Beginning Middle End Just add reverse animation at the end. You can make seemlessly playing GIF/WebP so easily with Honeycam using looping animation feature. 1. Open a file with Honeycam and click looping button. 2. You can play to check if it's seemlessly played. Jusk click Save button when you done! Guest
ok I have a surprise.... HumanStuff Easy Builder Workshop & Texture Library - v2.0.1 - Vector Live on github, spacedock is uolarding T-minus: ok well its totally ready, BUT I over estimated the rezip and uplard speed, LZMA2 1536mb dictionary size, 273 word size solid for SpaceDock, same but 95M "split" for GitHub. EXPERIMENTAL build, but we arnt going back, its too confusing for new end users (I have about 15 emails on the same thing...whats 7zip, how do install "xyz", and the pack it pretty big. So now just learn to do textures, not odd advanced installs. ROOT OF DRIVE ONLY! or path length (directories and sub-directories) will over run windows lfn rules. so... its "[Volume][ProductName]" or lets say: C:\HumanStuff_EasyBuilderWorkshop OR D:\HumanStuff_EasyBuilderWorkshop OR L:\HumanStuff_EasyBuilderWorkshop, the "DRIVE LETTER" can be any you have, but KEEP IT ON THE ROOT ........might be the only mod to go like "this" ever......odd looking "explorer" view..isnt it?: Spoiler no MORE spoilers, heck I'm waiting ffor the 1st comment to post full change log...... either the youtube webp video (1.4gb) will upload 1st or space dock will, I can never hit a upload cap (unless I'm uploading 3 or 4 different apps) ...its so sweet *>Version 2.0.1 "Vector" Promo Video<* I'm Live in the premiere chat, come say hi! Guest
TL;DR: I went abit overboard testing the kit packaging, so tools that are not needed (and some arnt even related to texture modding) got included, unnecessarily. Next release will return to a more "trimmed state" might of gone over board with non-gfx tools (I got tunnel vision half way through build when I realized how easily I could attach tools) after a few reviews I will do another smaller pass.... Like WAY smaller - all the "not for textures" tools, but 1 security scanner (safety 1st) & 1 note taking app = removed I think it might look overwhelming. I'm going to get to down to "the tools required, and add the pluses as weblinks (forcing ppl to decline programs they dont want might feel overwhelming) the system, storage and minor office tools are nices to have...but they arnt required and swell the back. .................................................. Next version I will assume most users have an anti-virus and simple note taking program ALREADY Not Texture tools:s This was 50% a test of packaging and 50% to see just "what was possible". I will leave the SSuite office (its under 2mb, does doc/xls and links to free photopea, toms editor, sketchpad, gif maker etc), everything else "officey" is going to go. I will let you all find your own other than ssuitoffices pwa app, I will link to my suggestions in a small doc/shortcut area (but the office apps were under 9mb......) Clouds...again, I will make suggestions via an included linked list. I will leave ONE, mega.nz's megasync, as its "the most full featured and 50gb free" I will also assume most of you are here for "artistic modding" not "model/part" modding. Texture tools themselves: SO The pack will lighten, but to do so I have to stream line the focus ton tools to: almost all encoding can be done using Nvidia GUI tool, with the Texconv & Crunch cli tools xNormal and AwesomeBumb should handle normals fine..but I have minor experience here, so suggestions? I will leave the node base texture tools (they are good and not many are free), BUT I need feedback from artists working with node tools...should I leave all 3? Could we pick one as "The tool for tutorials", at least? I can make some suggestions to other apps, via links to authors site. BUT past this it seems I overwhelmed the "learners" Edited October 12, 2020 by Guest

I'm not sure whats in there yet, but, but it had Kerbal heads and stuff like correctly named "groundcrew" I cloned the cloud (to my pc then my own clouds), 6.8GB! Its named in english though, so thats awesome. IT WILL take about 4 days to sort it Once sorted I will convert it to ORA & WebP (due to its massive size as TGA's). Guest
Great news! on 3 fronts.... I have sorted the cloud drive file and converted the TGA's > KRA > WebP. TGA's are wildly large, after I sorted "out the odd stuff", that seemed to not be for KSP at all from the KSP stuff, & converted it.. 6gb became just over 1gb I believe I have "everything" (hopefully) we need. I need to make sure that NOTHING "not permitted" to be used is there. i'll triple check once more... for safety. On request, I was awarded an "open source" professional version licence for the FREEWARE "Advanced installer", an excellent & very descriptive/supported software packager. (as my project had grown considerably). This is excellent news all around. The packager is ideal, because I would need to do most advanced actions via xml script EACH NEW BUILD (or use a "lame duck" gui, and fix any missing xml or errors)....and thats too "nitty-gritty" if I want a reasonable release cycle. On that release cycle: live update to newer version vs Full size download > full uninstall > new version install I believe I can now setup a web driven updater, instead of a full download after the first (barring major changes). This should all everyone to directly update any of my personal additions, tool author updates (directly from their git or site), to the "EasyBuilderWorkshop" install directory (which is always on the "root" of any drive, default "C"). I am currently talking with the dev of another tool, for inclusion in the pack, that would allow live, but user initiated, scanning for newer/updated versions of each independent tool component (and to update/install them directly to the EBW install dir). Lets remember "believe I can" and "This feature is announced awaiting a release date" ARE TWO VERY DIFFERENT THINGS. As a smaller note: I really am learning as I go here... But dont be worried, because of that my level of caution is extreme. Some of these "things" I had done before, others I had heard of & even more, was "brand spanking new" to me. So my techniques, style etc etc, for the more advanced aspects of this.....may, continue, to lack a "professional quality" for a few releases. At this point all I can really track are user and install numbers (passively via github/spacedock logs), but It seems I'm reaching ppl with the pack, about 2300 (in total) of you infact. lol so where are you all? (I talk to me self here alot to document whats going on) Edited October 15, 2020 by Guest
Guest
ok well a few nice bits: tested functional the Texconv bat files are now exe's (I have both 32bit & 64bit ones, I have a set enabled to, admin privileges requires, for "multi-user pc's" also) the patches I build are also now exe's from bat's and are "silent" (you will not be prompted anymore and they are required anyways) I will be making alteration to the initial display, this is a message informing you of & confirming you agree to any other "tool eula's" (This seems a standard practice, I will follow suit) This will also allow making any of the "required" bits/tools to be "silently" installed also. A few optional tools, that are least "useful" to the mod kit, will be attached url links (inside the main "optional tools and suggest applications" document, not menu links) seing as everyone has the exe anyways...any "backed up" items will be removed (no non-image dups) after this I will stream main release to 64bit intended, with a 2nd tested to fully function on a 32bit system (to further prune exe file/downloads sizes) Edited October 16, 2020 by Guest

Guest
UPDATE: Everything is going to plan. Massive tool by tool test of "feature/ability" set and "file format read/write" ect, etc ETC... Anything "dead in the water" (no author comment/update within 50 months/ thats 4 years & 2 months) but true Freeware closed/open source will be archived and rehosted by me. Also if there will be no future updates or I have confirmed with author/forums that UPX compression is safe/stable we will be using this (its a free space saving on a multi-thread cpu faster than 1Ghz basically). I'm about 80% of the way through all the apps and replacement candidates. As a BONUS from this testing: A 1Gb "OTG" (On The Go) Folder of PORTABLE small, BUT VERY POWERFUL/USEFUL TOOLS (the best I've tested byte for byte) They might not be "the best avaible" but at their size, NOTHING touches them at their task. And its a "On The Go" toolset, be amazed its as good as it turned out, I AM lol A few days, new release: This time 1 as a "full off-line installer exe" & 1 as an "on-line downloading installer exe". I have the website setup for hosting/updates. NEW App menu/launcher, WELL ORGANIZED & ABLE TO BE REORGANIZE will replace many "shortcuts"(* they will still be there but now be in a single "shortcut" folder) All devs I've emailed (REPEATABLY) that replied have no issues with repackage, as long as I host the terms/eula docs also. BUT MANY (over 100) NEVER REPLYED TO LIKE 10 EMAILS EACH...so, I guess they were sucked into some programmers abyss or had IRL stuff going on lol Edited November 12, 2020 by Guest
Guest
Update on next release date: I'm Finalizing Portable'ized & UPX compression of the last folder of pruns app list. There are so many apps for various tasks, of varying function and ability; going through them was...a huge task. But done now. Should have a test image by end of day note: "main" category tools have been left WITHOUT UPX compression, to enhance their performance (or allow them to work at all lol) Edited November 13, 2020 by Guest
Guest
Not to derail my thread, but big tool highlight & last second (well hour) addition: A super light OpenGL test; to get a quick idea of a systems "power" before you start opening 16K images or batch encoding a folder of images to DDS Released on request by SoftwareOK, at http://www.softwareok.com/ we have Tunnel3dOK... a full 3D Benchmark...UNDER 45kb, Under 24kb when UPX compressed (Note: You see me mention UPX and are interested in it? Try the "PortableAppCompactor" at PortableApps its a very well documented tool to start with) http://www.softwareok.com/?page=Windows/Tools/Tunnel3dOK/1#S3 I am convinced this programmer is either an AI or "from the future" Simple, 32bit/64bit unicode, it can go faster or slower, windowed or full screen. That fits on a 128mb USB drive! - Crippleware, & "offensive" nagware > REMOVED - Some "larger" (sized 300mb+), but optional/semi-redundant Tools are now url links to free downloads, if you want to try/test or know/prefer them - Lightened "Basic Office" apps, as there was a lot of redundancy or non-ideal tools - Improved all "WEAK" Tool options (SAFETY, CLEANING, RECOVERY, sharing, web serving, web other, "light" system info/benchmark tools) - Tested other tools and pruned/removed any that were feature weak or out performed by "better" (byte 4 byte) options - "CREATOR" Apps with x86 & x64 versions, the x86/32bit have been preferred for comparability, and 80% of users will be fine with 32bit* * the others will be able to locate the 64bit downloads - Two browsers; OperaGX, Brave Portable have odd EULA's - Swapping to "No Opera", as its basically K-Melon with a slight "bloat" to it (no offence Opera) - And "Brave" now as an optional install only, Portable is freely downloadable) - K-Melon (Curent Goanna Engine, PWA capable), D-Plus (Dillo for Windows), Lynx (text), plus MyIE9 & Green Browser (both Trident based), can stay - Advanced Installer's (what builds this pack of tools/apps BTW) EULA prevents my "pre-installed" method, switching to optional url/link to download. - Github desktop seems to want you to install by its EULA, so swapped to a "user driver" optional install - 100% REDUNDANT (ABOUT 11 TO 13 APPS, I FORGET LOL) APPS/TOOLS REMOVED - NON-FREE/FOSS APPS/TOOLS REMOVED (VERY FEW, MAYBE 4 OR 5 WERE FOUND READING EULA's ETC) - BLUE GRYPHON > removed, I feel It will become feature capped to users that "pay money to its author" - Shortcut dropped in favor of 100% featured free online version of Openshot: https://www.offidocs.com/media/system/apps/openshot-online-video-editor.html - Lightworks EULA is odd and its register-ware, dropped in favor of final MS Movie Maker (last version of the "2012" Movie Maker), as its lighter and easier to use* * Other included tools or the 100% FREE, super powerful DaVinci Resolve 17.x, can easily replace the few dropped "all-in-one nice to have" Lightworks offered - Added a few small, light games (all work and no play = poor productivity), but the largest 2, at about 35mb each, are the FPS: Cube, and the dark-ages Survival SIM: UnRealWorld - Wireshark & Thunderbird is are resource hogs (removed), Slypheed is basically a lighter version of Thunderbird & Wire shark is replaced by a few mb's of smaller tools Almost all are UPX compressed and portable. The exe is RELEASED GitHub Link "off line Installer", 3.8gb, This now DOES NOT rely on downloads, except for Ninite stuff, to complete "main install" HumanStuff_Byte4Byte_Pak_Stand_Alone.exe Link 72mb (extracts to 118mb) # Change Log # //HumanStuff_EasyBuilderWorkshop// ## 3.0.1 Prolegomenon - Finalized set, further releases are fixes and/or future additions Space dock is the host of the "online Installer", ITS NOT EVEN 55KB! LINK TO "On-Line Installer" (This DOES rely on downloads) Breaking the exe into a multi-part self extracting 7zip file for upload, added a few "steps" to unzipping it: 1 - Unzip main zip to a safe, temporary, location 2 - Inside the resulting folder; Run the exe from the created multi part to rebuild main exe 3 - Run Main exe Edited November 22, 2020 by Guest

SUPER awesome tools & a few games, fitting on a 128mb "USB flash drive" * NOTE: Most of the tools can fit, individually, on a FLOPPY! Guest
Note on: BUGGED FILE, CRASHING INSTALLER... FIXED, JUST RE-UPLOADING...BLAH.. LINK TO FIXED RELEASE V3.2.1 (100% TESTED) ON-LINE INSTALLER, ON SPACEDOCK # Change Log # //HumanStuff_EasyBuilderWorkshop// ## 3.2.1 Prolegomenon - Error in 3.1.1 exe, swaped packaging of bulk files to 7z sfx, otherwise same * OLD WAY: I used Advanced Installer to register ini and xml files, New: its done via sfx-s2, which I can "black list" in Advanced Installer's Packagers compression pass, the only negitive is for "safety" I have left the self-extractor OUT of automatic cleanup, in case a user accidentally closes or cancels it (and needs to relaunch it) I have added a "pop-up window" note to installer informing users - NOTE: I will add shortcuts next update, I was more concerned with a full tool test on a fresh install of Windows 8 for this "fix" Issue Details (FIXED): The issue was caused by multiple layers of compression to some files, I listed them as exceptions, still no go.... So I swaped the internal packager to deliver the 7zip self-extractor "manually", this by passes issue. This isnt ideal, but otherwise installer will go over 3.9gb (making it not function on 32bit file systems or OS's), so best soloution NOTE: This means post install you may (not mandatory, but it eats 3.7gb of space, needlessly) delete the 7zip, found in main application folder, named: "HumanStuff_EasyBuilderWorkshop.exe" Edited November 25, 2020 by Guest
