dprostock
I think it's time for the power to come for a considering ship, coming from a large power unit, like a nuclear reactor.
RealKerbal3x
Considering it's confirmed that we will have fusion-powered engines in KSP2, I think it's fair to say that we'll probably have nuclear reactors of the power-generating kind as well. starcaptain
I agree with RealKerbal3x. Though exactly what kind of reactors those be is just going to come down to probably "cylinder" shape, "pokey ball" shape, each available in a few sizes and a couple color schemes, and let the flavor text do the rest of the talking for how powerful they are and how long they last until you gotta wack em with a wrench. Guest
In the magical podcast interview that has all answers Nate talked about colonies having different means of power production based on the location and about the big ships main design constraint being the balance between thrust, power production and heat dissipation. On top of that we've already seen Uranium as a resource in one frame of the VAB video. I would risk saying that yes, nuclear reactor will be there as a power generation option.
