What nice thing did you do today (come here for ideas)

We all know how 2020 has been a rough year. We lost ones we loved, we might have missed out on stuff we wanted to see, and maybe it's just been a more difficult year than ever. 2020 is soon over but what if we decided to do the final stretch in helping others. Here are some good ideas you can do

1. Send postcards to elderly or grandparents

Some of the people the most affected by 2020 are those that are locked down and are of the group of most concern. You would be surprised how much of a difference it makes for people getting postcards or emails or presents from friends and family. So what if you made something special for them.

2. Do yardwork/snow shoveling for others

Did this the other day actually. This is one of the more tiring ones but we know how great it is to have a good lawn or a snow shoveled sidewalk. So maybe of the more minor ones here what if you raked leaves or shoveled snow for others?

3. Make cookies or other treats

Fun tradition I did with neighbors a long time ago. Great idea to share with families and friends, but sometimes to neighbors as well.

4. Donate to charities or other programs

There are many places in the world that don't have some of the luxuries that people have here. There might be refugees that need shelter, or children that might need food or water. But donating to charities and other programs is a good idea.

5. Doing a nice act whenever you can

sometimes you can hold the door for someone, or help someone carry groceries, or help teach class. there are many things that just help people and overall just make people happy.

This is just a few things you can do, there are others things you can do as well. Suggest down below or maybe even share something you did today. :)

And remember stay safe!

i was cleaning out the fridge, there were a large number of pork products which were getting old, some bacon, some breakdast saussage, some canadian bacon, and some black forest ham. so i threw them all into a pan, fried them and stuck them on an english muffin with some cheese and an egg. it was delicious, though it probably took six months off my life span.  it was supposed to be about helping others? i mean i did clean out the fridge.

You could have gave some to the kittens...probably would have shortened their lifespan too though...so on second thought good you did'nt.

Cats don't take salt well...certainly not the amounts we gorge on.

Craziest thing I ever did on the same level was attempt to fry chicken in expensive olive oil.

Went so poorly I gave up and baked it in the oven until it looked fried, and made a gravy of all the oil left as I mixed flour into it with spices.

My chest ached after, and it never does.

This was years ago.

i only got one cat who will take human food. and he is unnaturally old. my youngest will take seafood though, if im shelling shrimp or cleaning my catch, she reports for duty. i think i saw some crab pots at the house i picked her up at, she must have been raised on the stuff.

unfortunately my love for pork only extends as far as the kitchen, and perhaps the grill. i make some brutally awesome pork ribs. i always wanted to cook a whole pig in the ground, but our ground is unsittable for pig cooking. gonna have to settle for a spit.

I can tell you one big frustration of parents is a fridge full of stuff. So I guess it counts...

my grandma's fridge is a nightmare. its full of condiments that expired in the 70s. i vowed never to let our fridge get that nasty. it should never contain one item that can give you food poisoning. cross contamination is a thing. it helps if you put the new food in the back.

those are some nice responses. I've made a goal to be more positive online which I hope helps others be more happier in a world where people can be toxic sometimes.
