Those stutters are probably just the game auto saving, big save files take longer and cause the game to freeze for a bit. Delete any crafts you don’t absolutely need and it might get a bit better?

You can justify it as shutting down aging probes and satellites to ease the load on the DSN.

Or they just died due to solar panel degradation, electronics failures, solar flares etc. or their orbits degraded and they fell out of orbit. Or just delete them and say nothing...

I have pruned down the save significantly, unfortunately while the file size etc is large, this annoyance is something I expected… the big issue is with systems no longer being consistent ( orbital mechanics is ‘funky’ at best and docking means no physical or normal time warping due to odd kraken issues)

I think a Moon landing is a good end goal for the series- no point trying to keep going if the save/install is becoming too unstable, it wouldn’t be that fun to watch and no doubt it’d be a pain to play/record.
