Can't plant a flag on the Mun

Getting the same problem here - new game from 1.11.0, flags fall down when I try to plant them.

Every time I plant a flag it falls right after. I guess this is a 1.11 glitch.

Ahhh yes so its not just me, it truly was a terrible showing when all of the kerbals back on kerbin tuned in to the tv broadcast to watch jeb triumphantly plant a flag only to have it fall over.

It's not really OCD when they do not fulfill  the entire point of planting them in first place, specially when they're being used as markers for ground operations and having them fallen over makes them harder to see

I'm not sure I agree. I find flags hard to see if they are standing up -- from some angles they are basically invisible. If you move the camera so you are looking down from above, and the flag is laying down, you can easily see it.

They should all have green brackets surrounding them too, unless you are within 150 meters.

I think I have found a solution to the problem. It seems, for some reason, if the menu is opened while planting the flag, the flag will fall over.  However, if I close the menu, the flag will remain in the ground.

Can you clarify which menu you're referring to? I've tried planting a flag both with and without the Bob's menu open and it falls over regardless.

it's a bug i think, I also couldn't plant flags
