I need help with Mechjeb

I need help with the rendezvous settings for mechjeb, he never does it correctly, , anyone here?

-For transfer to moons like Mun and Minmus, use “Bi-Elliptical (Hohmann) Transfer”

-For other planets, use “Advanced transfer to target” (porkchop)

-for other ships in orbit, use the Rendezvous planner. *Sometimes this doesn’t work, you can use Hohmanm transfer option here but it has a slightly different algorithm, so you may get different results.*
 

Generally you want to have both ships in very circular orbits. Also, be careful you have chosen the right control point! Sometimes a docking port can be selected that is facing the wrong way, and will screw you up big time! 

Sometimes your engines can confuse mechjeb. Surface attached and radially attached engines can cause this. Make sure your engines are activated and placed in the very bottom of your stage list, AND other engines that are not activated are in a different stage.

If mechjeb does make a burn but it is slightly off, you can choose “Fine tune closest approach to target” and it will plan a correction burn for you, but if it is way off it’s usually because either you chose the wrong option, or your engine set up has confused it.
