PS5

Just a quick question to see if anyone has tried KSP on the PS5 yet?   I play it on the PS4 but I'm at a point where the game will no longer play the game without crashing the console. 

 

Anyone??   :)

Odd that it is crashing on launch. Have you tried reinstalling, or the PS4 equivalent? Poked around the console support threads?

KSP Wont port on the PS5

But i think KSP 2 Will Port to PS5? I Dont really know

Yeah it is crazy.   Any sort of massive ships cause a horrible frame rate and then once I try to set up a interplanetary node things start to go bad eventually crashing and having the restart the PS4.  All other games run flawlessly.

 

I have even put a SSD 1 TB hd into it and reinstalled PS4 software.  Still crashes KSP.

Massive ships tank frame rates on liquid helium cooled rigs. Something about Math! and Physics!

Have you tried interplanetary with smaller craft?

Hey all,

KSP seems to run amazing on the PS5!!!   Finally.....    It is so smooth and quick.  GAME CHANGER.

 

I have now reached EVE and landed on it.  Take off was ..well.   Non existent due to poor planning and inadequate trust/delta V.    

 

Just wanted to give you all a heads up.

Since the autumn there are frequent crashes on PS4 and PS5. Every 20 minutes or so. It loads ship on the launch pad really quick (even though it's most often the wrong ship), tracking station opens very quick (even though half the time returning to space centre or switching to a ship causes the game to crash). Flights are better (even though quite often you crash into planets instead of fly bys because the periapsis keeps changing without input by several km).

The performance has little to do with hardware in my understanding. Bugs are bugs no matter what console you are on. (like when a class A asteroid gains 160t invisible weight upon capture) 

 

On the positive side, there's less chug and choppiness during launch and entry.
