Now you want me to start playing Surviving Mars again, huh?

Anyway, I think that may be too much for stock gameplay - if a mod could expand the mechanics, why not - but what's currently planned for the game sounds to me like enough. That said, I'm not sure anymore what was confirmed, what are my wishes, and what I made up and I think it's confirmed but actually isn't.

You know? If multiplayer is sufficiently robust, that could be a fun mod. Have a colony that the team is trying to escape from, so everyone has to complete tasks to get the rocket ready, have everybody control a single kerbal with camera at a fixed distance and elevation, and then it's basically just Among Us, but with Kerbals.

I know there's no real point, but it could be good for a few laughs.

Colonies are based on off world resources extraction and vessel production. So that. But again I think that would be covered by just having these farms shown in one of the videos. Food = work, no food = no work.

The farm kerbals produce a little more food, the mining kerbals produce a little more resources, the engineer kerbals can build / improve / expand with less resources, the scientific kerbals produce more science.

Jeb was not the impostor. The vessel no longer has a pilot.

I'm in the "no" camp. It's a qualified "no" though, this could work as an element in a more involved simulation. In isolation though it just adds micromanagement and busywork; I can't see how it would be fun.

As mentioned before, i think the best option would basically be other game modes via mods.

Tank modes, race modes, cooperative team deathmatch orbital volleyball modes, comet chess, etc

You know? That'd be a good way to expand the AU formula. Say, you need to make sure you have a pilot and an engineer by the end of the game for a crew victory. You can try to guess what role each player has by the tasks they are doing. So now there's a reason for crew to fake their tasks as well and for impostors to pay attention to what tasks are being done. And a lot of, "You can't vote me out, I'm the last pilot left!" during discussion. Fun!
