A Survival Update Concept

Recommended Posts

I Will Really Like That This Update Happens Or Something Similar .

This Update Should Add Survival Addons To KSP.

Parts

A New Soyuz Command Pod will be added.

Airbags Buoys And Retro Rocket Will Be Automatically Be Added To Every Command Pod But There Will Be an Option To Turn Them Off.

Oxygen Generator.

New Solar Panels And Thermal Radiators.

And A Farming Room . In A Farming Room Kerbals Can Planet Crops Inside Of Them When The Planet Cant Sustain Life For Example Moho.

New Styles :

Kerbalism Will be Automatically Be Part Of The Stock Game Expect That Engine Failure Rates can drop to 5.00% or to not be any engine failure to keep the game Kerbal.

Kerbals Can Craft Food . Water And Supplies To Use To Wait For Rescue.

Kerbals Can Planet Crops On Laythe And Kerbin Dirt But In Any Other Planet They Will Need A Farming Room To Do it.

Planets :

Now Just To Let You Know Mi Gonna Take Some Stuff Form Subnautica Here But This Is Just A Concept.

Laythe And Kerbin Will Now Have Reefs And Kerbals Can Swim Up And Down.

Eve Will Not Have Reefs Because Due Of Eve Not Able To Sustain Life And It Is Hot Planet. But Squad Can Still Make The Ocean Still have Something Similar To Reefs.

I Will Really Like This Update It will make the game so realistic and better and fun way to survive

I'd like these, survival or not, where's my radial solar panels :(

Other then that, I feel like life support is one of those things that turns more into a micromanagement game for the sake of realism instead of for the sake of fun.

Mark Watney's main concern was how to eat the whole time and not hate disco, rather than the complex orbital mechanics used to save him. One of these problems is hard enough, and that problem should be the orbital mechanic part, leaving the botany simulator game play for another game. :P Not saying this couldn't be fun to juggle, but you will have to juggle it, and as such its better if its more of a mod option.

Plus my head cannon tells me Kerbals are green because they are part plant, so they eat sunlight ;D

Well I say a lightweight LS system like USI LS could be added, kerbals just become tourists when they run out of supplies, they wont die.

Fertilizer could be used to grow food off kerbin, fertilizer could be produced from ore(more reasons for ISRU)

Also, this could be pretty cool, but kerbalisim made stock, HECK NO, I WOULD PAY TO NOT HAVE IT, altho u may like kerbalisim, 90% of players would probs quit or stay in older versions, because kerbalisim got made stock, mods i feel like everyone would love if in stock

1. Bon Voyage, Drives rovers in the background, I.E. make them better for long distances

Burn together, syncs craft movements

NFT(could be a DLC, I would certainly buy that, if it was good)

Kerbal atomics, MOAR NUCLEAR ENGINES

*OPTIONAL WHEN SAVE IS CREATED* Stock RSS(Scaled down to 2.5 kerbin size, so stock parts are still usable, all IRL planets implemented, MAJOR, I.E ROUND moons would be added, phobos and deimos would be around mars, and neptune would also have proteus)

KSF - Kerbal Space Farming.

From small farm on ground, growing crops for moonshine to fuel the rockets,
to the personal oil rig at the place found from low orbit when you got to there on the moonshine rocket,
then to the moon(s) on a kerosene rocket fueled from that oil rig and refinery,
to gather uranium sand on the moon and produce fission fuel
to power the interplanetary tug with helium scoops,
to collect helium-3 and deuterium from the star atmosphere,
to build a fusion engine and fly to another star,
to land on its planet,
to build a small farm
to grow crops and start producing moonshine,
to... (etc)

There are at least four life support mods for KSP (five if you count RP-1/RO but that’s a whole different ball game) with varying levels of complexity, from the simple (Snacks, just give the Kerbals snacks or they’ll become tourists/teleport back to KSC/die depending on settings) to the more complex (USI-LS and TAC-LS, which require stuff like food and water) to the more comprehensive Kerbalism (which simulates CO2 production, radiation exposure, crew stress and more). Any stock implementation of life support would be decried as “too hard!” by those who want minimal or no life support at all, but “too easy!” by those wanting a more realistic system.

I don’t expect any stock life support systems in KSP, it should remain optional like it is now.
