I can’t use my engines after I have time warped 5x while I am out of the atmosphere of Kerbin.

I play on Xbox and have been playing for about 5 months but during this entire time I have been playing I can not time warp above 4x out of Kerbins atmosphere without my engines  stopping and not turning back on.

If I've got you right, are you saying that when you turn your engines on to enter time warp, and then turn time warp off, you can no longer turn the engines on again?

So for example if I am in orbit and time warp above 4x and then but it back to 1x my engines will not thrust.

Can you get a video of this happening?

Your engine isn't igniting because you didn't throttle back up.

Throttle determines what fraction of the power from your engines is used - before you timewarped, it was at 100% - however, the game set the throttle to 0% before timewarping to keep the engine off during the timewarp.  All you have to do is throttle up.

Pro tip: use throttle to start and stop thrust; using the manual controls gets complicated with any more than one engine. The manual engine control is intended for larger vessels where events may leave engines on that could mess up manoeuvres.

Just to note. On the consoles when you timewarp above 4x your throttle will go to 0. Its automatic.
