SOXBLOX
IDK if anyone's already suggested something like this, but it would be nice to be able to see an interactive flat map of a planet. If this were implemented in-game, there could be a building for it, and the maps could update based on how much of the body in question the Kerbals have seen. Maybe you could set waypoints in the map interface, and select colony sites, etc. I think both local and planetary-scale topography will be important considerations in KSP2. The ability to see Mercator and polar projections, examine distances between sites, and see other information like resource concentrations all in one place would be a boon. I would love it. Probably not something we'll see at release, but the dev team might consider keeping it in mind for a future update. Maybe? Please? Pthigrivi
I personally think its absolutely critical that this is available at release and the place where all this information is found is in engine, both in map mode and in flight mode as togglable overlays. SOXBLOX
I'd also add that it would give a better understanding of a planet's geography to the player. Honestly, I have no idea how all Kerbin's features fit together, much less, say, Eeloo's.
Caerfinon
As a user of ScanSat that has a lot of this capability in KSP, I would love to see it in KSP2 stock if possible.
shdwlrd
I like this idea. If not like a ScanSat style map in the flight scenes. It could be done in the tracking station at the KSC or an equivalent building at a colony.
