Have you learnt how to dock yet? It's easier than building spaceplanes and it really opens up the system for all kinds of interesting missions.

Okay then, you could try building a rocket that can refuel the plane in orbit, You should have enough to fly to Minmus, land and return with full tanks.

[edit] Make sure to add a docking port to the spaceplane.

9.16 for me too! You shouldn't need ISRU, if your spaceplane can get to Kerbin orbit you have more than enough to do Minmus.

Looks like you've taken my advice. You're getting the hang of this pretty quickly.

To improve your SSTOs further try to reach as high a speed as you can within the atmosphere using the rapiers' air breathing mode. This will get you to orbit using less fuel leaving you more for orbital maneuvers.

ps:a single stage to orbit is only for orbit,so i would not use single stages after orbit

 i mean that my final design would be a mk3 cargo ship that has a crg100 on it and can carry arbitary payload(so the mass center should be in the center of that cargo bay) to (sub?) orbit and then it,running out of fuel,would release that payload and go on "free" fall and the payload uses its small amount of fuel it get to orbit

690 space delta v on orbit!good!(it would have way more airborne delta v but there isn't any air for it so lets count space delta v)

aww man i find 212 lf and 615 ox on orbit
