How do i orbit?

Hey, I am new and i wanna learn how to properly kerbal in ksp, can anyone help me orbit?

Orbiting is easy! Just miss the ground while you fall back from space

(And no, I'm not joking, that's literally what an orbit is. Gravity will always pull you back down, but if you go sideways fast enough, you can avoid hitting the planet and keep curving around it.)
