Why is there no day x patch?

I'm wondering why is there no patch yet.

When the ESA event happens and the Scott Manleys and Matt Lownes could play the game for a few hours like two weeks ago, they already gave the devs crucial feedback. And if i remember correctly the Scott Manleys and Matt Lownes said things like "don't worry guys, we played a version which is unlikely to be version which is sold on EA"

But here we are having four yellow boxes telling us the game paused and unpaused and having no orbital lines when having a mun encounter etc..

So like what are the devs doing all the last weeks? The feedback is there and plentiful. Sure there will be major updates in the coming weeks and month but a small patch in between to fix some minor stuff would be helpful.

I mean, let's be honest the yellow unpause boxes are totally inconsequential. They are mildly annoying, but not worth pushing a hotfix. A lot of the other stuff - maneuver nodes, SAS and the cross-feed bug would be worth a hotfix, but are also harder to fix.

Triage.

What is the most critical thing? Can we fix it? How many resources (time, devs, etc) do we need to fix it? It's about getting the "Full Stop" & "Critical" bugs fixed now, the little UI stuff like Marc mentioned can wait. It's annoying, but it doesn't put the player in a "Full Stop" session ending situation.

Admittedly the preview event issues are there on release, but then release was on Friday. Then there was weekend. And now the devs are waking up, it's about 5am in Seattle. And they'll be collecting feedback, I'd bet putting highest priority on the most gamebreaking bugs rather than some annoyances. (Or perhaps fixing the easiest ones in parallel if there's an opportunity to do so) So I'd expect something hopefully in the upcoming days.

Just to make things clearer. The yellow boxes are just examples that the version of the ESA event is the same we got. So that indicates to me that the devs didn't do anything between the ESA event and the EA release...or atleast that what it's looks like.

Sure the yellow boxes are midly annoying compare to other things in the game right now. But like the wobble of larger rockets could be something they could have tackled or something like that.

a week seems fair. a month would make more sense if the game was more stable. longer patch cycles can get more done as they spend less time rolling out new versions, and more time fixing bugs. but in its current state, if they could fix the top 5-10 worst bugs the first week, that would be a very good start.

At the ESA event, there was a bug where rotating/translating a part didn't affect other parts in the symmetry. So you'd have to manually adjust e.g. each wing individually. That was fixed, because it's a much, much higher impact bug than multiple yellow boxes appearing for a second.

I agree.UI issues are not as important since the majority of the people can't actually play the game due to bad performance
