Make sepratrons burn faster to produce more thrust in less time

So the two use cases for sepratrons, as far as I'm aware, is to push other stages away from the craft when staging, as well as for ejector seats. In both those cases a lot of thrust is needed over a very short amount of time. What we get now feels like a solid five seconds or so of fairly weak thrust. So to get the rapid acceleration I'm looking for to move an ejector seat or push boosters away as I'm staging, I need to attach a bunch of sepratrons, when it feels like I should only need one or two since that's like their only job.

Very agree. Even with 4 on a Clydsedale, it comes dangerous close to clipping the rest of my craft after staging. I don't actually know offhand if the behavior is any different from KSP1, but it does seem like it should burn, like, half as long with twice the thrust.

I think in KSP you could set the thrust of SRBs. I don't remember if it was possible for sepratrons...

You could but not beyond the default top value.

Also worth noting, they are not included in dV calculations so with the maneuver node tool refusing to show “unachievable orbits”, using them to augment your SRB powered space craft was quite the challenge. https://imgur.com/gallery/rw3Mvfq

Yeah, they are not good. There needs to be stronger ones with more thrust, and nose cones with integrated solid rockets for separation would be a very nice addition to the parts catalog.
