Boosted Space Station Core to 350 km circularized LKO - yeeted to 640 km apoapsis on collision corse with Kerbin.

Poor Bill Kerman.

I had initially launched my Space Station Core to 90 km orbit, but wanted to boost it to 350 km. Launched a crewed mission, rendezvoused, docked, transferred fuel from the tank on the core to the booster for the boosting, circularized, decoupled the docking ports, and deorbited the crewed booster and landed it at sea.

Was about to launch my solar array, and I suddenly see that my space station core is on collision course with Kerbin. Frustration ensues, and I must pray to the Kraken while relaunching my core.

I suffered the same problem, at some point after undocking a vessel from a station, while focused on and de-orbiting said vessel, the station's orbit changed as described above. I reloaded 3 times to have the same thing happen 3 times. However the fourth time I made a new save after undocking and the problem didn't occur, so a possible workaround there.

It may be the same bug I'm experiencing.

When my vessel is in close proximity to another vessel, and I timewarp, the orbit of the other vessel is messed up.

Ah yeah, probably that was what happened. Deorbited second stage, it exploded everywhere. And then space station core suddenly was on its way up to suborbital 640 km apoapsis. Interesting.

I have had this issue happen to me too. At some point i was sure the bug was when you have something as a target, and then untarget it.. the orbit would change... but thinking of it, I have also seen my stages do it some times.. that when stage, the spend stage will pick a really high ark, going to like 500 km and then crash down into the planet...

In my experience, if you quick save before undocking and then check the orbit is not changed, then quick save again. - then at least you wont have as much of an issue going back ^^ but I have had stages I would redo.. because i didnt have a save.. and it was better to lose 2h of work than a few days xD
