Interestingly it looks like some parts will have external prerequisites for being able to generate science. The three prerequisites we saw the tooltips for are time needed to run the experiment, minimum crew to run the experiment, and resource cost to run an experiment (I have a feeling that prerequisite wont be in 2.0).

Ooh. Now that's interesting. I have a feeling the Resource Update will change over the whole game.

I'm content to wait. I appear to be the minority, but it's a big busy world, and there's plenty to do in the meantime. The Devs are the ones that make KSP2 their career, and full time occupation. I'm glad for their efforts, and gladder to leave them to it.

Engine plates still useless? Check.

Engines spontaneously going full throttle when switching to the KSC? Check.

Velocity (and orbit) still increasing after disabling said engine? Check.

Rage quitting? Check.

This release is far, far removed from being a stable base for the Science update.

Im glad its improving and I think its close. I do think they need to solve orbital decay and a few other biggies first so players can actually get invested in complex program development.

When I first started playing KSP orbits were decaying too! Also intercept markers were all over the place. It was still a lot of fun!

Oh for sure. Unfortunately Im on Mac so I've got additional issues running through parallels but I did have a nice window late spring/early summer when I could play. Buggy as it was I loved the look and a lot of the UI changes. The way I like to play though is with lots of concurrent missions, stations, satellites, orbitally constructing motherships with multiple modules that split off to land or explore moons. Thats pretty tough right now and I'm probably going to wait for orbital decay to get fixed before I dive back in. Im hoping thats before science but we'll see. Probably gonna be another 3-6 months of Factorio megabasing for me.
