Missions The Wheelin' and Dealin' secondary mission cant be completed using plane landing gear [mission description is not clear enough]

As the title says, this mission does not allow for using unpowered plane landing gear. This may be a UI/writing problem as it may not specify correctly, or maybe a bug to do with checking what parts should be included. Either way this is causing confusion.

Expected:
When using a craft with 4 plane landing gear, a truss, a battery and a rover seat and all other needs for the mission the mission should complete.
What happens:
The mission does not complete

Follow steps in "expected" category above

This bug has been tested and happens in any save file, and also on different computers.

I had trouble with this mission as well. I tried with the basic "wheels" (landing gear) parts, and it did not work.

After asking around in the discord, I was told it had to be rover wheels, and these parts are a little harder to unlock, so it took a little bit of science to finish this mission. I don't think the location of the parts themselves is a problem, it's more so about the objective of the mission that was unclear. This is not the only mission that got me, and others, confused.

But I have a lot of fun playing them, finishing the missions, and a very hard time staying away from my computer, now!

yep, what Mushy said. the game wants you to add rover wheels, not landing gear. added a note to the title to make it a bit more obvious this is a UX issue

Fairly early on there's an optional mission to launch something with 4 wheels. I tried it a few times with LY-10 landing gear, as I hadn't unlocked rover wheels yet. The mission doesn't accept this as a success condition. As far as I can tell, it only accepts rover wheels.

While rover wheels are just listed as 'wheels' in the VAB, and this is probably what the mission refers to, landing gear are wheels too, at least from a human understanding perspective.

Please either change the mission statement to specifically refer to rover wheels, or allow landing gear to be acceptable: the current wording is a bit confusing.

Spent a while trying to complete with landing gear to come find this thread and make this comment to say I experienced this too
