Confused ksp 1 veteran.

Recommended Posts

So finally trying out ksp 2, love it, looks very good and plays good with the limited ships I made so far as in landing on the Mun.
Has the signal to research, but its in night so has to wait.

But something is a bit confusing, like the saves in VAB looks getting overwritten then I save the game? Why should VAB stuff and the state of the game has anything in common?

Some annoying interface stuff to.
But one question, if I send an mission to Minmus who arrives before I can check out the Mun signal will I loose contract for flying to Minmus?
Could go for an night landing to, assume terrain is pretty flat around the arc?

I don't *think* so? The VAB ships are saved as separate files (one per "workspace" or whatever it's called, but I use one "workspace" per ship because the UI/UX for all of that is so confusing). I know this because I copied one between saves :)

You do not. You can complete the first 3 main-line Missions in one launch by launching into orbit (before even going into Mission Control) and then bouncing back and forth between the ship and Mission Control to turn in a contract and back to the ship to get credit for the next one.

You don't accept these contracts (that aren't contracts, they're "missions"). They just appear when the one before it completes and you can submit them when you (are in control of vessels that) do what they ask.

Yes, I figured it out. Its clear the VAB after launch unlike in KSP 1.
