Easy to fly, ASAS keeps them steady. This is a Medium scout tank, the Swordfish, after two hits. KAO
decided to start surface operations on Duna after my crew's tenure in the orbital station over Dunadropping in the base all lo-fi likeinstead of conventional landing legs, this base has 2 pairs of user operated hinges to which the legs are connected. This lets the base commander to raise and lower the height of the base to avoid damage from flash floods during monsoon season.comes with detachable rover

Pyromaniacal
Oh, thank you! I don't post anything in mission reports mostly because I use heaps of mods, and the things I actually do aren't as impressive as other people's stuff, like exploring the magic boulder or flying to every island on Laythe or anything. As for the mods used, there's B9 Aerospace and AIES Aerospace, of course, but there's also lots of zzz's stuff making it up. Some is from his standalone thread, and some is from the Interstellar Warp Drive thread, which i downloaded then edited the configs, like the reactors, which are now big RTGs, or the jump drive, which is only aesthetic now, or the Vista Fusion Engine, which is now just an oversized ion engine. On a related note, I've been working away on this thing, and since I converted it to an ion drive I was able to cut the ship's length and weight and part count by half, giving it way more Delta-V. So here's the Odyssey Mk VI cruising really really low over Eeloo. Note the shadow right below it. Definitely the scariest periapsis I've ever had.How did you alter the parts into operating normally? That entire thing is gorgeous! I wish I had skill with aesthetics. Edited September 30, 2013 by Pyromaniacal

paleorob
My micro Duna mission. Maybe not as small as it can go, but I'm getting there. In orbit, waiting for the departure window. From left to right: crew return capsule, nuclear IP drive unit, reusable lander, 2-seat rover.Nothing like the glow of nuclear engine exhaust out your porthole to remind you that you might never return.Down on Duna after an interesting aerobraking experience. Now to find out if we've got enough gas to get home.

Monkeh
My doomed fly by of Pol. I was going to land but whilst checking the map my lander promptly exploded as it hit a ridge I somehow missed. It wasn't this one in the screenshot as I made it over that one and thought I was fine...The blank stare of the bullied one, locked out of the command pod.
