RogueMason
Stargazer is essentially finished minus a couple of Rangers and base modules. It's sitting at 581 parts, though, so I'm looking into that welding mod...
Spartwo
Does this count?Really put the size into perspective.Would've been much easier with Kronal, too bad I can't sustain it for long enough to finish.

Spartwo
MS paint, I have to complete it with a working sabre and a refresh of the javelin. The only difficult part was getting the scale right SR docking ports are exactly 80 pixels across and standard ones are 42, before I used this measurement the size inflated by 30%EDIT: Ye. KAO
my next generation horizontal land base for Duna. This time at 3.75 meters, with 3 whole decks! lower deck is cargo, middle deck is habitation and communications, third deck is science and electricity.with its aerodynamics, it was able to fly a kilometer or two until I found a flat enough landing site. Thanks NEAR!Javascript is disabled. View full albumon the science deck, I was doing an experiment to find the effective output of an ion engine in Duna's sparse atmosphere. I was also conducting an experiment to see whether the ion engine would cause a change in air temperature

Bekiekutmoar
What mod did you use?!Kopernicus, a WIP mod that allows duplications and alterations of planets. Terrain cannot be altered at this point, but texures and atmospheres are changable. Haven't yet figured out how to do that however ... ! RogueMason
Stargazer is complete and ready to fly to Duna. There are 2 Rangers, 2 base modules, and a fuel reservoir for the Rangers after operations on the Red Planet docked to the central hub. It's at 846 parts, making the frame rate barely tolerable (~6 FPS), but it's finished. I've got plans to build a smaller version of the ship with half the number of ring modules, but that won't happen for a little while yet. I've got to see how well this mission goes now. Wampa842
Loud, ugly, and probably the most dangerous thing to ever lift off within 50 metres on the runway. The Z-5 TASTOL (Thruster-Assisted Short Take-off and Landing) earns her rightful title of Monstrosity. The craft doesn't entirely rely on its wings. On the runway and early in flight, when the wings generate insufficient lift, 24 pulse detonation thrusters help the airplane stay in the air. The downwards thrust is not nearly enough for vertical takeoff, but it makes taking off at 30 m/s possible. Likewise, landing can be done at around 40 m/s, as long as you can slow down to that speed.Assisting thrusters are turned off in flight upon reaching the normal traveling speed of 230 m/s. Despite the name, the Monstrosity has remarkable stability, even at supersonic speeds. Quoting a test pilot, "this thing breaks in half before you could stall it!", and then he broke it in half.
