I had some kind of strange luck, my account didn't get deleted but instead reset to it's original name and one post (of something like 100-120). I just hope that I get a second rename under these special circumstances.

I really hate to say it, as I appreciate the work the staff puts in (as do the rest of us mod makers). But, whoever is responsible for such a blunder, even just to do with a simple backup, honestly deserves to be let go, fired, replaced.

If KSP had not been available for purchase on steam, such a blunder could have cost squad an undetermined but significant amount of money.

Hey, even the larger websites encounter problems and go offline, crash, and loose data. I bet devs have done everything they could to get this issue fixed.

My account (EpsilonSigma) wasn't deleted, but its entire history was reduced back to 15 posts. It's beneficial to me really because I now have a new forum account with a screenname created after I joined KSP forums and I don't need to worry about changeover.

Still, it's a little annoying that threads I was watching or had made no longer exist

Oh well, it'll get better I'm sure Squad did everything they could.

The crappy part is that it won't let you post anything until you reach a certain post count.

I know how you feel. Lost mine too. Was like 8 pages of quality tips from the pros, with builds pics etc.
