We are starting work on a gravity plugin for stations, and the first and to be honest, only station I'm doing from TV/movies is The Odyssey from 2001. That will be the test model for the gravity, basically when you can walk around the hub inside, I'll be happy and we can apply that to other parts.

when will the sulaco be finished?? i really like aliens and i always wanted to fly it!!!!!

Eventually. Now that Damned robotics is fixed I can re-visit that project and finish it off, so it should be soon ish. I just want to finish it so people stop asking about it to be really brutally honest, I have lost all inspiration to get it all working in KSP because the game itself just does not like ships that big, not without lagging to hell.

I have been trying to new mods to the spaceport, but it keeps telling me I am missing a required field, but I'm not... I sort of have uploaded stuff there before.

But, the place was hacked a couple days ago..

So i'm unsure as to whats going on with it, it's clear there was a loophole that allowed someone to hack in and add fields to the database, which means they were in the back end

well and truly - which means someone at Squad has both some explaining and work to do to stop it happening again.

Here, have some fun with this pack, no point it sitting on my hard drive.

All wheels work fine, suspension on a couple is a bit visually glitchy, but they still function quite ok..

All wheels have their own custom damage state and can be repaired.

No plugins required.

Contains 5 x new wheels to play with,

including the new mini monster wheels.

Spaceport is being a real pain in the kerbal to me, so 'im using media fire for the time being...

Is the single-seat wheel in the pack? The one that looked like a single-kerbal vehicle?

Not yet, needs some more work yet. Im working on the ASAS plugin for it so it stays upright, at the moment it has a bad tendency to want to go to one side and put the kerbal in the dirt.. :)

Too often I've seen people get burned out while volunteering their time for an organization or community that they love. People start taking their donation of time and effort as a given, and a small vocal minority start expressing a sense of entitlement. Most of the time it ends up with the volunteer throwing up their metaphorical hands and walking away, all the joy having been sucked out of the activity that previously they loved.

I have hope that this won't happen with you because you've refocused on projects that you love. If you want my advice, do that and ignore the people who clamor for something that doesn't interest you.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Eagle and Dropship and hope that they remain updated and useful. I'd love to see Valley Forge if you decide to give it a shot at a later date. But I won't cry if it doesn't happen, and would be sorry to see your creativity and passion driven away by the projects you undertook out of love, but which have become labor.

Good to hear Tex, the Valley forge will happen one day, too much work already gone into it for it not to happen, but its a big one.

Could the Single-wheel part utilize the mechjeb plugin for stability?

Possibly, I will give that a try.

Sirkut gave me a good idea, so at the moment Im just trying to make it a reality, but if all goes well we will have a kerbal sitting in that mono wheel properly by the end of the day.

Once that is successful, the Dual-Seat monowheel will be made, and then I am going to try something insanely big and stupid for a vehicle just to see how big we can make em.

Bigger, but no caterpillar tracks.

I had a good go of the tracks mod and they need serious work before they are at a point you could do something like this with them, but I have sorta developed my own tracks by way of making a wheel, that when you intersect 5 or 6 wheels together it looks like a track and behaves better - and they all turn individually. Sure, its a drain on the batteries but wow.. the results are fantastic. I could not flip my cart at full steer at 80m/s (the tyres blew out sure lol) but the cart was stable as. Now I need to apply that to something about 6 times bigger than that pic :)

To give you a verbal description..

I made the suspension level the pole that is underneath the kerbal seat in the pictures. So the wheel does not actually bounce as such, the kerbal bounces inside the wheel on his seat, effectively he is sitting on top of a 4 foot piston that could cause some serious damage to his umm.. err... you know...

Thats what I wanted. Since its a monowheel, you can't have the wheel assembly attached to anything and have it bounce in relation to the main body of the vehicle. With the HoverMono, you ARE the wheel..

So yeah, the kerbal is sitting on top of the suspension and lever point. I am adjusting a few things in Unity in relation to the wheel physics because it can't bounce too high or Kerbal go squish! But I am actually pretty pleased about this one, I mean monowheels are not a new concept but I don't think I've ever tried to intergrate so much stuff into one piece before.

At least transporting the monowheels will be very easy!!! they will simple side mount anywhere.

@Tommygun.. nah i might as well tell you, we could be here all day :)

im doing something similar to the ESO.. but it will be a fair bit bigger as I want it to be a mobile launch platform also...

This has probably been requested before, but it wasn't worth it to read through 900 posts. Could you do a pelican dropship from the halo universe? Preferably the earlier model. I'm learning how to do it myself but i only just started, and you are obviously very good at this kind of thing already.

To be honest ,It will take at least 100 people wanting something before I spend the time doing something like that again. I agree it would be a great ship in KSP, but it's already a great ship in Halo.

I prefer to make things that are not available to actually use anywhere. The only reason I did the dropship is because there has not been an aliens game yet where you actually get to fly one (not that Im aware of)

And then on the other hand, something like Starwars ships, or Star Trek ships..

There are so many games that already have those ships at your disposal to fly, and in much better detail than KSP allows (lets be honest, something like the B9 pack looks beautiful...that's if you run your pc at full spec playing KSP... most people don't so the entire thing comes out looking like crud in most of the screenshots, its not a low res friendly pack thats for sure) so it's about finding a balance as well and seeing how your craft will go once you downgrade it to KSP physics.

Pretty much.. half way through making the space eagle 1999, all I wanted to do was go watch space 1999..

I would even love to do a proper Rocket pack, like a NASA set or something like Bobcat does with his historical craft, but even that doesn't hold my interest for very long, if I come up with a cool idea, then that seems to keep me interested long enough to actually finish the mod.
