(1.12.x) Exosystems (0.1)

RECnwnG.png

Exosystems is a Mod aiming higher than its short lived predecsor in a more Realistic way. Exosystems, when Completed, will play host to dozens of Stars with Many Small Systems designed to be a Basic represenation of real life counterparts.

Some will be granted larger, Speculative systems while others remain small, in addition 'Filler' Stars will be added as additional destinations.

NOTES:

For some reason, I cannot get Scatterers newest versions to work for the life of me. Try Version 0.0831 of Scatterer instead.

EXTREMLY EARLY PRE ALPHA DO NOT TAKE THIS AS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT THE 'COMPLETE' VERSION WILL LOOK LIKE.

Currently works on the newest version of KSP

this looks great!

are you going to make this like distant skies continued?

Kinda. It will be a lot less crowded in terms of the systems themselves, I will keep the bodies per system generally lower and a bit more accurate to real life Star Systems, I will also add Refuted Planets to certain systems to spice them up with cherry picked stars getting speculative systems

This sounds like a modernized REX

Try adding an @ to the start of a scatterer config. Like this:

@Scatterer_atmosphere
{
    Atmo
    {
whatever config stuff you have here

Since there isn't much to show yet, here is my Plan for Alpha Centauri. Note the existence of the Question marked bodies all depends on whether I figure out how Emissive, Lava and Parallax work...

Currently, I am targeting the Systems to be completed in this order

  • Alpha Centauri
  • Barnards Star
  • Teegardens Star
  • Wolf 359
  • Gliese 65
  • Ross 128
  • Ez Aquarii
  • Wolf 1061
  • Gliese 876

Most of these as you can imagine are going to be pretty sparse on planets, Ross 128 and Gliese 65 will have 1-2 planets each, Ez Aquarii will max out at 3 as will Wolf 1061, Wolf 359 will have 1-2 planets as well. Teegardens Star and Gliese 876 will be interesting however as i have plans for both systems, of course the amount of bodies will remain low, probably just being 5 for each, but they will have some interesting bodies. Barnards Star will have 5-6 planets, consisting of 2-3 of the newer candidate and the Refuted pair of Gas Giants and the former B Planet, I already shared my plans for Alpha Centauri.

Of Course, there will be 'Flagship' systems, systems with speculative planets that make a much more 'complete' solar system, but they will require time to make and will be revealed later down the line.
