Got another fun prototype here - For those times when one simply must fill the hostile skies with recon drones.

I call it a drone swarm. This craft alone can fire 8 probes in different directions resulting in a spread coverage area in orbit. The launch vehicle can also deorbit, but I'm still working out some kinks with this and Ragnarok Storm.

I have an idea for an edit of the Drone Swarm Concept. Re-design the recon probes so that they can adjust their orbital trajectory, maneuver the probes into the trajectory of oncoming spacecraft. If launched into a retrograde orbit, and guided all the way to the target, it's a potential station buster. Think Macross Missile Massacre, only with satellites.

XF-3 Fighter: A prototype high altitude escort fighter. It is stable enough to be a joy to fly while remaining acrobatic enough to perform well.

I've tried moving the undercarriage further apart but that makes it worse. :(

I havn't yet added weapon pylons either as its unfinished.

The Riki Tech Hardshell Turtle was built to keep the pilot of the craft from most harm. In case the outer Hardshell armor is damaged, it can be ejected for an increase in speed.

If the ''wings'' of the craft gets blown to pieces, the pilot can detach the side parts and continue on with the emergency engines and escape to either a friendly carrier or into the atmosphere of a planet.

The core of the ship can fly into a planet's atmosphere and decouple most unnecessary parts, leaving the cockpit falling down towards the surface with its parachutes, ensuring the survival of the pilot.

Love the Riki Tech Hardshell Turtle!! Really unique deseign and every part on the ship has its own function. :)

I see the rockets have been spin stabalised since the last version. :D

Ah thanks for the kind words. have you tested out the ship? since it was my first craft designed for actual combat, i figured i had to do it thoroughly ^^; the spin is there due to the mass not being distributed equally. mostly due to the form of the ship.

Presenting images of my largest ship yet!!! The Fr-9A is an upsized version of the Co-10E. It has a large hanger bay and room for 10 fighters to be docked on the sides of the ship.

It is still undergoing modification and testing and so the designs are not ready to be released.

That is a HANGAR!? it is as long as 4 Turtles! Owo; maybe you can take some pics of the hangar bay so we can see how much room there is?

It meant to be a front line combat ship rather than a carrier. I doubt that it could fit a turtle in the hanger bay but getting close. :) That's the largest ship I could fit in the SPH and there is no way I could launch it legit though. :(

I'll post some more detailed pics tomorrow when I get up. :P

I've been looking around this thread for a while now, and thought I should post some of my own things. Big thanks to everyone here, I wouldn't have been able to do anything like this without the inspiration from all these amazing craft. These ships are definitely not up to the standards of the other things here, but I might as well post them and see what people think. None of these ships really have names, and I've only tested a couple with interplanetary travel. (They're all stock, I just put the Mechjeb module on there so I could easily see the ships' stats.) The first two or three ships are pretty ugly, as I

Destroyer Mk I

My first actual military ship, it only has a measly 4579 dV with a small ion scouter attached, but is light and easy to get into orbit. It comes with 18 weapon hardpoints, a front docking port, and a small protected hangar designed to store a very light fighter/escape pod.

Cruiser Mk I

Really less of a cruiser and more of a larger destroyer, it has an improved but still mediocre range of 7381 dV. Has 10 side-mounted hardpoints and 2 forward facing ones. Also has an improved crew space that can eject in case of emergency.

Tanker Mk I

This bite sized tanker was designed to be easy to get into orbit, refuel 1 or 2 ships, and then either transfer the crew or deorbit the ejectable habitation module. Because it was designed to be light, it only has 6761 dV.

Tanker Mk II

While I'm still working on getting this into orbit, it has improved range and fuel capacity over it's counterpart with 7488 dV. This ship was not designed for combat, as you can see with the completely unprotected engines (I'll fix that soon) and lack of weapon hardpoints, but the light armor around the fuel tanks and protective plating surrounding the crew bay would give it a good chance to escape with lower damage assuming it didn't wander into the middle of the battlefield. Comes with a shielded docking port on the front and a Sr on the bottom, unlike all my other ships, which have just 2 standard docking ports.
