Ok, Hive torpedo carrier looks like I´ve pictured it ;)

I dont´t see need for Damkina Mk.II at the moment, since current version can be refited in orbit to perform similar tasks.

Nice work! Alright, I'll send the file with the torpedo launcher. PLEASE! Try and reduce the part count for me. I was right, the clips are 60 parts. In the meantime ill design a bee/ grub launcher - how many bee/grub pairs should it launch at a time?

I'm not sure if I can get my ship into orbit. Something in the design is causing the game to crash. I've tried 2 different launch vehicles and a 2 different computers, but still between 2-4km during launch "KSP.exe caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005) in module KSP.exe at 0023:00419079."

Every. Freaking. Time.

I've launched larger crafts before, so I think it's on the craft itself, as I removed the launch stage and strapped 2 mainsails with unlimited fuel and still got the error.. Maybe I have something clipped that's causing the issue.

I already have bee launcher ;) And as a matter of fact I have 2 grubs on my old Wasp launch and Jool drive stage - which is going to Laythe anyway, so we will have grubs there ;)

Daze: Well, have you seen how crowded it is getting round Laythe these days? :wink: From list of ships I´ve put up it may look like military presence is kinda big, but if everything goes well the will just sit in orbits or on stations doing nothing...

Edit: Well, doing nothing is not exactly healthy for military personel, so the will be flying all kinds of excersise and scouting missions inside Joolian system.

I found in my inteligence dossier for today some disturbing pictures, taken over orbit of Tylo, that might answer this question:

We need a small low gravity lander with at least number of parts possible, carrying one Kerbal to surface of Jools low gravity moons. It will be carried to moons low orbit docked to a mothership Lets call it

Flea Specs:

Crew of one

Big docking port attachment

RCS maneuvering for docking

Low part count (SAS is not required)

Probe body remote control

Low weight

Enough fuel to land from low orbit (50km) and to ascent up and dock to mothership again

Optional version:

Carrying a micro-rover like Mulbins Duna LK1 does

So, exactly How laggy is it around Laythe now-a-days?

I should hyperedit my 2400 part battle cruiser over to another moon, let you guys have fun destroying it. :cool:

Yes, capsule is required.

I´ve tested my version of Flea and decided to drop requirements:

Probe body is not needed (does probe body provide more stability than standard capsule when SAS is on, even without SAS module on? - if yes, keep it with probe body.

Big docking port is not needed

My version at 12 parts which landed at Tylo from 30km orbit and got back to 30km orbit with fuel to spare. I could possibly get to 11 parts ditching that one RCS tank.

llamatoes: Is it Laythe capable on its own I presume? I consider Bee for docking bigger thinks like space station parts, for loading torpedoes I would use just a small "Grub" droid (octoprobe, RCS tank, RCS thrusters, batteries, solar panels, docking port Jr.). Great design!

Have a look at my 'Bees' 'Grubs' and ammo strips, llamatoes, I'm designing based on them. Tada has the .crafts - that's a beauty of of a ship you have there. If we can work together it oughta be wow!

Well, you can work together, thats the point of the project ;) I´ll include the ships in next official save relase as soon as "Saphire" is establish...

Very nice, and it would be easy to restock with the new more powerful anti-capital ships smart missiles :)

And fact it is Laythe capable makes it very practical putting less stress on number of mothership resuply runs. Mothership then keep to the important stuff.

You mean making llamatoes deisgn into reusable space tug? I´ll look into that, but I think, most of these logistics crafts will get just deorbited... :D Only bigger ships I´ll keep in orbit.

What about some day in future (like in 2 weeks or so) I´ll do a livestream flying some mission?

Well, Tylo.. 7.85 m/s2, but I don´t wanna go there.

Largest of the worlds where I wanna go is Vall with 2.31 m/s2 roughly as the Mün. I wanna prospect those worlds for future mining operations. Tylo wouldn´t be practical...

But if you put up compact Tylo lander, capable of being transported to Laythe and from Laythe to Tylo, it will be used! :)

Very awesome looking project here, some of the crafts are incredible, as is the scope of it. I've noticed that you don't have an atmospheric fighter listed yet and was going to offer up my Almagest I 'Tahare' as a potential candidate. It comes in a VTOL version if that's a strict requirement, and given the ease at which it currently flies I can easily create a variant designed with some light missiles, on-ground refueling, anything else that's required. She has no orbital ability, and I've never tested an orbital launch platform, but it only ways about 10 tons so getting her into space shouldn't be a problem, and it wouldn't take much to ferry her anywhere. The full range in in my signature.

Either way, I'm really enjoying this project; I can't wait to see what it ends up as.

SecondGuessing: As long as it can go to space on top of a rocket, it has docking port to attach to carrier and docking port to attach small tug for orbital maneuvering and deorbiting - it may be possible ;)

Some little news here in project, while standing by for "Saphire" to be built...

First production Damkina class mothership will be named: "DCMS Ark Royal"

This name was chosen by Temstar - he designed propulsion system and ascent stage for the whole thing and many many otherships included in PROJECT Babylon.

There will be 2-3 more of those ships operational, so you can suggest names :)
