Project BABYLON

Nice, it is shaping up.

1. We´ll deliver giant ComLink array to Laythe and also a MCLEC Essex cruiser to provide securit in orbit of Laythe.

2. In next launch window 2-4 SSTO shuttles will be delivered to Laythe so we can begin our surface operations - maybe even singal beacons will be deliverd to Laythe.

3. Delivering/landing signal beacons, delivering colony ship.

4. Flying tons and tons and tons of supplies to Laythe.

...

Ok and lets brainstorm where to establish our colony!

- we need a flat area to build an airstrip nearby

- colony needs to be near equator to save fuel

If our ground refueling program for aircrafts will be successful we´ll maybe introduce multiple colony locations.

To the project heads at BABYLON, Porahzhaht Aerospace presents the F1A line of atmospheric fighters!

The F1A line features staggering maneuverability at high speed, and unrivaled acrobatic ability at speeds as low as 50m/s! Coupled with with innovative centerline rudders, the F1A line rolls as straight as an arrow, and with minimal trim adjustments, will fly straight and level with no control input.

The F1A was purpose built for the needs of the BABYLON group's "Swallow" Class fighter initiative. Equipped with 2 reloadable frontal hard points for Porahzhaht brand Guided Missiles and Unguided Rockets, and 2 reloadable rear hardpoints for dumb bombs, the F1A can pack a punch! The F1A also includes a full size docking port, rcs thrusters, and monopropellant stores for ease of use in docking to motherships for delivery to its final destination!

The F1A-I is a further development of the original F1A. When designers at Porahzhat Aerospace realised the potential in the base airframe, a production F1A was stripped down to the essentials, and upgraded for high altitude flight. Featuring an advanced computer autopilot, and twin ram intakes, this little bugger has a max service ceiling on Kerbin of 25000m, and can reach speeds in excess of 1600m/s.

Porahzhat Aerospace is here to serve its customers, and if you would like to see changes to a model, or would like to create something a bit more specialized, send me a PM, and we'll see what we can do to acquiesce your requests. Craft files can also be requested by PM.

Drop base is done. Tested and Laythe capable. 80x80 circular orbit. It does use 300 units of the Nuke stage. Best lifter I can do on my work machine. Enough fuel to for a Laythe intercept and de-orbit, or you can refill the top stage and have plenty to spare.

Also, I should note that I SUCK at VTOL landing.

Edit: GOES IN THE VAB! I highly recommend switching flight control to the probe core on top of the com tower during acsent and space flight, otherwise bad things will happen. :P

So I got to thinking...16 kerbals isn't all that much. And even that aside the only refuge from Jool's premature aging rays is inside a crammed capsule? Nonsense! You can't throw a proper celebration in there! So I made this.

That's a cool looking building! It looks very inviting with the lights on and the doors open. I especially like the radioactive source over the center of the dance floor :)

here is what i have made so far (not my best but just a little sneak peak).I also need feedback on what we want our symbols and motto to be (striving for a better tomorow or something along that line)

this is larger than what ksp would have (the next updates flags are smaller than this) but i scalled it up so you can see

tell me what you think and remember this is not anywhere close to final so i need your guys input :)

I´m gonna have KSP busy weekend :D

23278: That mobile base is great! flies really nice! You´ll fly drop lodge mission as time will come for second location for a base :)

1. I will start some missions as soon as llamotoes will send me updated persistend

2.

a) I will fly Damkina with ComLink Array to Laythe, escorted by a Marduk cruiser

B) I´ll deliver 4 SSTO shuttles to Laythe and some candle of Babylon beacons to Laythe onboard of fuel tankers to refuel Damkina for trip home and cruiser for patroling in Jool system, shuttles are gona be left on Saphire station

c) I will start dropping stuff onto surface

d) I will setup schedule for following missions to deliver more cargo and utilities to surface.

brobel: I basicaly like the idea :) Some motto will be hard to come up with :D

It is indeed but I´ve been up for like 36hrs nonstop doing exams, so I´m bit braindead at this moment, but I´m sure someone will come upt with something and we will brainstorm it out :D

Hi i'm a bit new to KSP but i have a few SSTO shuttle designs if you are interested. Unfortunately they are only able to reach orbit of kerbin with some fuel left. so they will require refueling. Also since i'm not used to flying them i used mechjeb on them to fly up into orbit so in theory they should be more fuel efficient. Here's one of my heavier shuttle designs. Also they are designed to glide down a planet with atmosphere so they just need fuel to get up orbit but not much to get back down.
