There was something in Source Filmmaker that if Source Engine 2 didn't exist, use Source Engine 1. Also, I think what killed off the first source engine was that Portal 2 was a completly new game with a (partially) new physics engine, leading to its own Portal2.exe file. For example, a cloned chell might randomly decide to leave GLaDOS in a potato being eaten by birds. Also, there would be a lot of Wheatys in space. And the amount of times they fell and burned and were smashed menas that there must be a factory where they can produce them or a warehouse full of them? Also, Aperture Science has never cared about expenses, what with buying loads of moon rock and the cost of expanding the salt mine to the gargantuan proportions or the materials needed to build everything?
