Managed to get this ship to Moho with 1/2 of the nuclear fuel left.

(I only used MechJeb for the maneuver nodes, you could get there w/o any mods!)

I bet you could get this to other planets, too.

Go ahead and post your other interplanetary ships here and if you want to criticize my ship, go ahead!

This reminded me of my relatively low-end Close-Kerbol-Flyby (CKF) ship that used Kerbol's gravity to slingshot farther out into the system.

Not questioning that you did it, but I thought that gravity slingshot maneuvres only work with bodies that are in orbit, too, because you use their velocity to accelerate/decelerate your own orbit, but Kerbol in this frame of reference is static. Is there something I am missing? *headscratch*

Well I guess the Oberth effect could be considered a slingshot of sorts depending how you use it. But the real term does only apply to things you are on a hyperbolic trajectory with, far as I know.
