[0.20.x] Part Search Plugin

Some guy made a Part Search plugin for the VAB an SPH a couple of months ago. This is the source (AFAIK)

And this is the version I still have from before the Kerbastrophe on the forums.

This isn't my work, but I haven't seen this guy or this plugin at all in the past months, and the searches I've run on the forums here don't turn up anything about this plugin. It has been extremely helpful in this game when you've got two dozen+ part packs installed. At the very least I figured sharing it would be a nice thing to do.

Installation:

Works in either plugin folder (either legacy or .\GameData\PartSearch\)

Bugs(?):

Sometimes a search returns no results. Clicking the "Pods" tab will properly refresh the parts menu and show filtered items.

While it's mostly good under .20, it definitely has a few new glitches. Good tool nonetheless.

There is an updated version (which I have) that has a parts pack filter window that allows you to check off mods you want to filter by (they were hard coded). You can get that version here:

Personally I think it was a waste of space so I commented out those lines. The only glitch it still has is the one mentioned by the OP. Other than that it works great.

The original author (IcculusC) has updated the git repository with an MIT license.

Changes:

Fixed issues with compiling for 23.5

Changed to search from an exact match to a word match

Set the default to search descriptions

Set the default to search all categories

"/" will now highlight the search box

"Esc" will clear the search box

I'm not sure what to do with the files. They all end in .cs and I have never seen that before. Shouldn't they be .cfg or .dll ?
