  7. So I just installed this on a fresh 1.2.2 install of RSS/RO but am having only one issue. From about 30km to 100km there is significant shimmering at distances. Any Idea what could be causing that?

  9. That I noticed. Would you want help with that? Anyway, I got it fixed. I looked through the modules for the landing legs in the squad folder and, on a hunch, threw them in the cfgs for the FASA legs. That got me closer, but then they acted weird, so I did some searching figured out the values I need to change, and viola, it worked. If anyone needs 1.1.3 FASA leg configs, lemme know.

  12. Right, that is exactly what I am saying @Phineas Freak, if the files had changed from 1.0.5 to a compatible 1.1.3 version, I would use those. But We don't. So I am using the new files (version 6.0 prerelease) with configs edited so that it will load in 1.1.3. Therefore, the only thing different between the two is the version of KSP, which brings me to my original point. If everything is the same but the version of KSP, what, if anything can I do? What accounts for the difference?
  13. I suppose that was a big assumption on my part. You are right, the current behavoir is the right one, I'm not saying its wrong, I am asking for help with a previous version. I understand it is an old version, I was just figuring someone could help me out. I can't find those older 1.1.3 model files anywhere. I guess I am a bit of a novice but when trying to find a version of FASA that would work for 1.1.3, I was unable to do so. I can't find the 1.0.5 version on Spacedock and then the updated one (v6.0) which is the one I am using. If there was a changelog of the changes that would have those, this wouldn't be an issue for me. Can you direct me to those previous versions? Thanks
  14. Alright, I did have RPM but not sure why it wasn't working. That seems to be resolved now. So here's where I am still confused after doing some testing. I am running a copy of 1.1.3 and 1.2.2 stock with only FASA and RPM. When I use the same models and the same edited configs (except the part category) I get vastly different results. I am quite confused. Since the .mu's aren't changing, the configs aren't changing, it has to be some issue between 1.2.2 and for whatever reason the mu from a 1.0.5 version of the game don't work with 1.1.3 but do with 1.2.2? Am I missing something? Extra testing version on the pad. You can see the difference here too.
  15. So I realize now this is the place to ask about issues I have. I am using KSP 1.1.3 with RSS and RO with FASA. Many of the CFG tweaks work quite well. The new animation fixed the weird movement of the ladder leg as it got fully deployed, which is very helpful. Still, I have a few issues and I am curious if you can help me with a few more. 1) The other LEM legs with contact points don't go nicely into the ground like yours do in the video for me. Could this be because of RSS or is this an issue with the collider/mesh or something else? I watched your video and it didn't seem like an issue for you, but it was also stock. Just curious. 2) I have the below view in the IVA in the LEM, any known way to fix this?
  16. Any idea on the IVA issue? I tired using the BDB LEM lander with the legs already attached, but it had major issues in RO for me like textures being all wierd and the leg animations all odd, could be the wrong version perhaps? Are there RO configs by chance?
  17. Thanks for that. I guess I should be more specific, and potentially complicated. I am using KSP 1.1.3 and RSS/RO so there are many things that have to work together. Still it seems my issues (the landing leg with the ladder being all weird on full deploy and the contact legs not sinking in) are the ones mentioned before. I am using the 6.0 version that you linked. But I don't know if I should use something else. I also have this in the IVA:
  18. I am using the FASA mod to make videos and its working great...mostly. I am having the same issues discussed here, but I see they are known issues. That being said. Is there anything we, or others who like the mod, can do to get this to work correctly? I am sure I can find volunteers.
  19. After watching the latest Space X landing I noticed one thing I have always wanted to see as part of KSP - Re-entry Ablation Burn marks. As you can see in the album I've posted, there are all manner of burn marks from re-entry. While we have the effects of re-entry in the game, we don't see its result. I would love to see tall boosters coming back all grey at the bottom and white where the legs are and such or to see how much damage was taken during hard or softer re-entries. A Dev note from last year talked about the ablative shader for the heat shields. But I am not sure how that is actually done. I'm in no way a coder and this would take more coding and know how than I have. Anyone game? Pics of burn patterns
  20. I literally just downloaded those to see if you were right. I'm afraid you aren't. There are no launch clamps in Radiernick's mods, either of them. In fact, these clamps would make a perfect addition to his and Bobcat's old Soyuz and proton as well as the OLDD ones.

Hey Guys, I have only done a small amount of blender work (making Old Asteroids that have since been made obsolete by ARM) and so don't think I have the requisite skills to pull this off, but I would love to see Soyuz and Proton Style Launch clamps. See the picture below for what I am talking about. Anyone up for the challenge. I would think that some of you have the skills to whip up something pretty fast and I would be willing to do whatever i needed to (cfgs or whatever) to get it rolling. Feel free to post on here or PM me if you are interested.
