  1. Anyone else having trouble putting the engines on the Mk3 engine mount? I can do the top one fine, but the bottom two kind of clip into one another and when I click it makes the sound, but doesn't connect them. The stock SSMEs work, but I'd rather use these since I can set the gimbal trim. If I can't get this to work is there a way to add the gimbal stuff to the stock SSMEs?
  2. There seems to be an invisible wall at the point where the lifting body fuselage connects to the cargo bays. It prevents me from building inside it or on the back wall. Also, the OMS pods become permanently connected once you place them. Saw a couple people mention that, same problem here. Hope it gets updated soon, I love this mod.
  3. I use the Klockheed Martian space shuttle oms engines, so the angle would be off either way. Even if I added one of the small probe cores under it, it wouldn't account for the extra angles provided by the trim.
  4. I'm not getting shrouds around KW engines. I deleted the KWPatch-interstage.cfg file like it said to on the last page, but it still won't add shrouds... I don't use CKAN. So I don't know what's happening. It's severely frustrating.
  5. So when building a realistic looking space shuttle, the OMS engines always burn slightly off center. Meaning I have to point 10-20 degrees above the node in order to burn straight. I'm looking for a way to compensate, so that I can calculate the offset angle and point straight at the node after setting the nav-ball. Either that, or an OMS engine/shroud mod that burns straight but looks realistic.
  6. Is there a way to disable vessel sound muting? I realize it's sort of realistic, but it is just too empty during launches. Especially when I'm recording.
  7. I need to disable Probe Control Room's "vessel sound muting" in order to record a video without silence. It may not be realistic, but I like it. Maybe there's a way for it to taper off like it's close and then getting further away... Also, I need to find a way to get the NASA com chatter to trigger during probe missions in Chatterer. Thanks, in advance, for any help.
  8. This didn't fix my probe. I still can't control it once it leaves the atmosphere. I don't have any heatshield parts on it. Also, everything seems to overheat way too easily now. I was getting re-entry effects going 800m/s at 35km up. So I reverted to 1.0 aero and it seems to be slightly better. But it's still getting too hot, too quick.
  9. Is there a way to get the NASA sounds during probe missions? I use Probe Control Room and it's currently muting vessel sounds while using it, so I need something to fill the gap other than just beeps. I was hoping to use some NASA com chatter to replace the silence.
  10. Is there a way to disable the vessel sound muting thing? I understand it from a realism standpoint, but when I'm making videos it's not great to have 2-3 minutes of silence before the orbit music kicks in.
  11. Anyone know why the engines start with the "heating glow" and remain on at all times? Even in the VAB, they're glowing orange/red.
  12. I can't seem to send science data back to KSC. I have a connection either directly, or through a relay comsat. But I still can't send it. I press the button, and nothing happens. It still makes me agree to disable science modules that cannot be repeated after sending, but it doesn't send the data or give me science. Any clue what's happening? There's no way this is an intended feature.
  13. I think I need a tutorial video or something. I kinda get it... Attach the node that is facing DOWN first, after I click it and it appears in the VAB?

  15. So, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to transfer the science from the experiment to the capsule so I can get the science for it... It is driving me insane. It's the only science part that I can't get to do it. So I take the parts up in the container, attatch on EVA, and run the experiment. But when I go to grab the science, it doesn't even give me an option to "collect data" or whatever. I just have to store it, and deal with it getting incinerated on re-entry or transmit the data for 20% of the science earned. Which at that point isn't worth it. I tend to go with a more realistic approach to my career modes, so I'm not returning to Kerbin with the experiments. Just the science... So until I can "take data", or whatever, this mod is basically useless to me... - - - Updated - - - You're not attaching it. You have KIS, right? You need an engineer on EVA, with an electric screwdriver equipped, and then hold X as you place it. Watch the video on the KIS forum post...
  16. ...I'm using the experimental build, but I'm pretty sure it's the same in the original mod. How the hell do I transfer the science from the experiment to my pod? I've lost it three times on re-entry now, because I can't figure out how to grab the science from the part and put it in my capsule. It's driving me crazy. It's the only science part that I can't get to do it. I'm seriously frustrated. Anyone know what to do? This has, effectively, made this mod useless for me.
  17. So I'm having trouble editing the containers. I click the button in the VAB to add experiments to the storage and it does nothing. It worked fine last night, but now it's broke. Anyone know what's wrong?

  19. Anyone else having issues with the wheels falling through the runway? The chassis/body is fine, but the wheels just fall right through so the body rests on the ground and they spin inside the ground...

  21. Where would I find the "spring constant"? Is it "suspension spring" and "suspension damper"? Or am I looking in the wrong place? If correct, do I increase or decrease the numbers? Also, I use KJR when I can. Though, the latest build tends to blow things up when undocking...
  22. ...Anyone know how to make the rudder go the correct way? It's reversed. I press "d" and it goes left. "A" and it goes right... It's been four days. Can ANYONE help with this? Small note - After looking at the .cfg file to see if I could find how to correct it, I noticed that the part description is complete nonsense. "This wing is tilted upward shuttle with slightly more of glue and less plastic." ...What? 1. It's not a 'wing'. 2. The phrase "tilted upward shuttle" ...What? 3. 'of' in this context is a completely unnecessary word. I replaced it with this - "Stabilizing fin with built-in rudder and airbrake. Chute deployment voids warranty." Much more accurate, and slightly more in-line with the stock description style.
  23. ...Yeah, that's a wall of text and I have no clue what to look for. Should I just change the "suspension spring" and "suspension damper" to a higher number in the .cfg file? Or possibly the "forwardsStiffness" and "sidewaysStiffness" ones? And I'm basically using this as a stop-gap until I get a bigger version of the gear. It's not really "cheat-mode" if you know you're going to land it successfully every time... I've done 13 approaches with this shuttle design (all on video) and every single one has ended in me touching down perfectly and softly, THEN something goes wrong with the mods/parts. So I know it's not me. I've done it successfully so many times (with other designs/planes) at this point that it's second nature. Besides, instead of looking at it as "cheat-mode", why not just say "the engineers noticed a weakness and reinforced the parts".
