Is there a way to reduce the torque of command module?

Have you tried pressing Capslock to numb down the controls a little? I'm not sure what it's called exactly.

That would be precision controls, and it should be more than enough less power for most small ships.

The torque of probes are too high anyway. You can make a wheeless rover that way.

Yes reduce it and transform sas to an general torque module, add some larger ones to control large ships.

Note some recon robot designs has been rotating balls, only downside is camera placement,

Turn an OKTO2 on its side in the spaceplane hangar: It's fun*!
