How many things have you lost because hitting the "End Flight" button?

I lost a big gigantic Jool mothership thing covered in landers just because I was tired. It had around 400 parts and dropped my computer to about 8 FPS whenever I was piloting it

I think if they just moved the End Flight button down by the width of a button or two it would fix a lot of problems

Once, when I first played the game. Since then, never.

People who mindlessly click through confirmation boxes .. well, I won't say they deserve to lose ships, but it's a bad habit they need to break. It doesn't mean they're stupid, just very very careless and inattentive.

Also, as someone else has already pointed out, for those who simply can't resist clicking through confirmation dialogs, there is now a plugin that blocks the End Flight button. >> G_LockFlight

Me? I like the button just the way it is.

I honestly think that the exact function of 'end flight' is far from obvious to a new player. It needs more explanation. Something like "Warning: End flight will remove every part *currently attached to your ship* from the game world." When I launched my first space station I was paranoid that it too would disappear when I ended the flight after landing.

This. I lost every flight I made when I started because I didn't understand what this did for a while >.>

I never lost anything important (and if I did, it was such a long time ago, I don't remember it anymore).

I've lost a very comfortable 0 flights to the end flight button. However, I have lost a few from weird glitches in older versions, but it seems to be okay now.

Lost huge space stations... A Mun base and a huge interplanetary train I built up out of about 12 launches... I was just tired and hit End Flight instead of Space Centre.

Another naughty design error is the "New" in the VAB. I had a really nice payload I had put together and balanced the RCS and then I went and hit the NEW button instead of hitting the Subassembly button (I just wanted one of my prebuilt boosters) and "POOF!"... gone...

That's easy to solve though. I always make sure to save after I add anything important or make any changes.

I am fortunate enough not to have many incidents with the end flight button. The worst was the deletion of my mobile Mun Arch Base. I landed a small mobile base near the Mun Arch. I was playing around with it one day and when I left, I ended the flight. I had to relaunch the whole thing. On the upside, I was able to correct some minor design flaws, and it's still parked there!

Not to be nasty, but what else could "end flight" possibly mean but that it "ends" the "flight"? I mean, if it said, "keep flight going" or "snooze" I could understand some confusion. :)

But... but... I only meant to end your *mission* not your LIFE! *sobs* :)
